[Resolved]  Voltas — defect split a.c unit

I purchased the 1.5 ton voltas split a.c on 20/10/2014 from chandan electronics, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Since the purchase till today i.e.29.10.2014, a.c might have worked only for 1 week properly. Regarding this i gave so many complaints to the customer care to check the a.c. after so many delays, customer care representatives visited the a.c atleast for 10times till now. Once they took away the outdoor unit and brought another old unit after 10days. even after that also the a.c is not functioning, no cooling at all. Again i have been calling the customer care since last 20days but no body came till now. I have been telling clearly the unit needs to be replaced, but no one is listening, and no body is taking responsibility. May be it is the intension of the VOLTAS to drag the complaint till the warranty gets completed. It is the carelessness of the so called big Tata VOLTAS agency. This is again about the same complaint which i raised earlier. I have been running behind the customer care executives, and the person Mr. Vipul, +91 [protected], who himself call as the in-charge of voltas Ahmedbabad Area. Till today about 10-20 persons of different vertical of Voltas including technicians, mechanics, franchisee visited my home and checked the A.C. As the checks were done already quite a few times which exceeds the limitations of my patience. Recently also the Voltas people took the unit and checked again( I dont think so) and returned saying the unit was tested fully and working very well. It worked hardly again for 1week, and again the problem started, no cooling at all. And also to reinstate the unit they made so many holes in the house walls, and left without closing the holes also, while mentioning they will come back, but it is 1month over nobody turned up. I have been asking for the replacement of the unit, but somehow, Voltas people are very reluctant to do that, even though they know there is problem in the unit. I am really fed up with the so called customer CARE of the Tata Voltas. I spoke to Mr. Vipul again today 4/12/2014, now also he says he will send again some technicians to check the unit why it is not functioning, even though i told him already his people checked it infinite number of times. And also this person Mr. Vipul promised that they will issue a revised warranty card, as i could not use the A.C for most of the time during the warranty period. But so far i did not receive it till now.
It is useless again to request or contact the Voltas customer care, as there is no use of it. I am going to complaint in the consumer forum regarding this recklessness and lack of sincerity in attending the customer requests. I would definitely make the Voltas paid through consumer court for the pain i suffered and the inconvenience i was made to feel.

After so many requests number of people visited my home to diagnose the A.C, and they took the A.C unit to their work shop also, and after several days they brought back the A.C unit and with difficulty they installed after making so many holes in my bed room. It worked for 1( Only one) day fine and started giving problem again. As usual again i have been running behind the so called voltas executives to address the issue. There is a person named Mr. Vipul(available on +91 [protected]), who is looking after my case is reluctant to replace the unit, even though it is very faulty. I am exhausted by giving complaints and no body is listening about it. It is never ever expected from a company which they themselves called as a very big company. I took this recklessness of the Voltas customer CARE very seriously, and make the voltas people to compensate me for making me suffered this much, by filing the matter in the consumer court. The warranty period of the A.C is also fiinished by 8 months, even though i could not use more than 15days in this whole 8 months period. Regarding this warranty also i was told by Mr. Vipul that he will provide the extended and revised warranty to me, but it never happened even though i phoned him many time and sent my e-mail id to him. It is just pure unwillingness to address the issue and take up the matter seriously. Even though it is useless to post in this forum, as Voltas will not take the action. But this will be a eye opener to fellow friends/ customers who never ever dream to buy Voltas A.C

The problem for which I am fighting with Voltas since last 1.5 year is not solved yet. I have been demanding for the replacement of the unit, as it is very defective, which voltas executives also realised, but they always say that they will keep on replacing the parts and see if it works, but they never ever listen to me for the replacement. For your information I am copying the e-mail I wrote to them in the recent past 25/8/2015.

I am thinking to file a suit about this problem.

With my wrong decision I purchased Voltas split a.c 1.5 ton capacity on 20th April 2014. Since then I never ever was able to use the a.c for the intended purpose. To get the solution for this a.c problem I have been running behind the so called great Voltas people since the purchase. During this period I came across and contacted many people of Voltas. This list of people includes, toll free customer care, service centre, regional sales in charge, and last but not least the shop Chandan Electronics, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, where from I bought the A.C. During this period a.c might have worked hardly for 2-3 weeks properly. After so many requests number of people visited my home to diagnose the A.C, and they took the A.C unit to their work shop also, and after several days they brought back the A.C unit and with difficulty they installed after making so many holes in my bed room. It worked just for only 1(One) day and started giving problems again. Every time the Voltas people come, in a span of 1month and say the gas is drained out ( which is very unusual).

There was a person named Mr. Vipul(available on +91 [protected]), who was looking after my case earlier was reluctant to REPLACE the unit, even though it is clearly known by him that there was no option except REPLACEMENT. Now he is no more with Voltas.
A New person Mr. Sanjay patel came in Mr. Vipul place. Even though he can easily understand the case history from the Voltas database, if such database exists in Voltas, he again started saying he will get the a.c repaired and he will take the a.c unit again to the workshop for scanning etc. Again I started telling this person Mr.Sanjay Patel([protected]), that all the checkings, repairs, scannings, gas fillings were done by the earlier persons, and now the only option is left is REPLACEMENT. During this period Mr. Ashok Khare (I think the Voltas regional head is also aware of the case), came into picture and contacted me and made me to allow them again to check the A.C. Voltas people re-installed it in new place after doing core cutting in the R.C.C beam. During this period, Mr. Ashok also provided me warranty extension as he understood that I could not use A.C in the earlier 1 year warranty period. It worked for 10days ( I felt very happy by thinking problem is resolved). But my happiness did not last too long. A.C started NOT functioning again, already from past 1-2months. .

When I speak to Voltas people they say REPLACEMENT responsibility lies with the Shop persons. When I contact the shop they say REPLACEMENT is responsibility of VOLTAS. All together made me just a fool and just escaping from the responsibilities and delaying the matter further and further.


As a last attempt I am sending this mail to all of you whoever looks after the so called great VOLTAS. I presume there will not be any action from VOLTAS for the REPLACEMENT, as it did not happen in the past which is of almost 1.5years. The only option I am left with filing suit in consumer court, which I am going to do very soon. However, with a last hope of REPLACEMENT I am mailing this to you. In case if anybody wants to talk to me about the REPLACEMENT I am available on Phone numbers mentioned below."

This is the response i got from Voltas, on 3.9.15, in response to my demand to replace the unit.

As discus had with you, after inspecting the machine by our Engineer and found that Compressor fail.
As you know that compressor under 5 years warranty and we are ready to replace the compressor with gas charging as per the Given Extended Warranty.

Requested to please allow to us for compressor replacement. after replacing the compressor machine will work perfectly.

Even though i have been running behind the so called great voltas people from almost a year no body taken action till now. Now the warranty period is also going to be finished, so that from now onwards voltas can say that they provide the paid services, even though i am not interested to use those services, except the replacement of the defect unit which they sold to me..

No after product services worst company to invest in

It's been more than 48 hrs I registered a complain till yet no action no service boy has been provided worst company to take product from never recommend there products worst company shame on Tata

Missing copper pipe and late installation

Hello
I purchased a voltas split air conditioner 1.5 tonns.
The installation request is pending since 1 month. After following up with customer care they were able to send an executive for installation but then they found after opening the boxes that the copper pipe is missing.
Now i am unable to use the product when it is most required.
