[Resolved]  Voltas — Replacement of defective volatas window ac

Kindly refer to our earlier complaints made since 7.04.2014 regarding replacement of (Defective) voltas 1.5t window ac purchased by us on 18.05.2013 from croma, aditya mall, indirapuram ghaziabas. We visited personally/physically to above said croma shop and again lodged our formal complaints for the same, though we are yet to receive any formal call from any senior functionary from voltas even after 23 days of formal complaint registered with you through customer care no. Given to us. We are shocked and surprised to see the insensitive behaviour on the part of voltas for the no fault of ours. As we have mentiones already earlier that when we somehow managed to0 get the mobile no. Of your area manager mr. Om tyagi and my wife spoke to him, his behaviour was not only rude but that amouts to misbehaviour with a lady as well. We were expecting that your branch manager will speak to us but sorry to say that no such calls came to us. We are unable to understand the prbable action of the company for the reddessal of our problem. No deadline is given to us. Needless to say that the temperature of delhi/ncr is increasing day by day and now it is unbearable to live without ac comfortably. Why should we be condemnedto live in this condition despite the fact that we purchased new ac keeping in view the reputation of your company. Should we conclude that voltas is not unterested to do justice with us and there is no other way left to us but to approach the court of law/ consumer court for the reddessal of our grieveanc? I had purchased a 1.5 tone voltas window ac from croma, indirapuram, ghaziabad on 18/05/2013. The ac was installed and demo was given after few days and ac started working. But within days we noticed that there was no water leakage when the ac was running. We immediately informed this to both dealer and voltas. Some mechanic visited and said that due to higher technology there is no water leakage. We were satisfied and the used the ac in the summer last year, till october 2013. This year when april came we called voltas for service, since the ac is in the guarantee period.But the real problem started here after. Some people came to my house on 7th april, 2014, when i was in my college( i am an associate professor in swami shraddhanand college of delhi university) for my classes and other work. My wife was alone at home.The technicians instantly said that the gas of ac has leaked and they will take the ac to the work shop. My wife argued that the ac is new one and how come the gas leakage problem? They had no answer, still they insisted that they need to take the ac to the workshop. At that point of time my wife made a call to me on my mobile. Listening the matter i spoke to one of them and i realized that those so called technicians did not have much knowledge. So i simply said that put the ac in the window and i shall speak to them when i come back. So my wife refused to handover ac to them and requested that ac should be put and placed in the window. They started doing that but suddenly there was a big dhamaka and the entire room was full of smoke. My wife got scared. Somehow technicians put the ac in the window, after the smoke subsided and hurriedly left6 my house. Our neighbors came to my house and gave solace to my wife. That day anything could have happened. There was just a narrow escape. After few minutes my wife phoned to the dealer and voltas both and narrated everything and lodged the complain. The complain no. Given to her that day, ie. On 7th april was [protected]. She also informed me. Since then she made calls almost everyday to the company, but company has not paid any attention to our problem. For last 18 days the company has not done anything. Even no senior person from the company has visited our house. Whenever we make a call to call centers they simply say that someone will come and check the ac and they change the complaint no.The last complaint no messaged to us is [protected] dated 19th april, 2014. So they are changing complaint no. Everytime we make a call, but not sending any engineer to check the ac. No one from voltas has come so far. Worse than this is that the area manager is not picking up the phones. No senior person comes even on phone to speak to us. So what is alternative? How should we prevent such further mishaps? How and when the voltas will change and replace this defective ac? What should we do? Should we go to consumer court of ghaziabad? Kindly suggest us. We are in real tension for this. My wife is still in a shocked state. The unfortunate and dangerous incident apart, the behavior of voltas is very unfortunate. We feel cheated. Kindly suggest us what to do now?
