Fed up with IFB Service.....
I had Purchased an IFB Maxidry 550 clothes dryer in October 2012 with 4 year warranty from Croma retail. I was promised that it will be installed and a Demo provided within 24 hours at my residence. Despite giving 3 calls to IFB service centre over a period of more than 2 weeks, nobody from their service centre came to install it and provide Demo. One of their person called after 15 days and fixed up the time for visit and asked me if I required a trolley costing around[protected] Rs. I asked him to give a Demo but refused to buy a trolley. He never came till today because I had refused to buy trolley from them.
After 3 months o[censored]se, it’s switch developed a problem. I launched a complaint on 5/2/2013 with the IFB customercare vide complaint no. 10431915. I was assured that my complaint would be attended within 24 hrs. Nobody attended the complaint for next 48 Hrs. I started calling their service centre repeatedly ( tel no.[protected] but they never attended the complaint always promising to attend within a day. On 12/2/2013 one of their representative came and examined the appliance. He said that the Switch needed to be replaced and it will be done in next 24-48 hrs. He disconnected the appliance from the mains. Since then, Nobody ever came. Since then, I have made atleast 30 -35 calls to the service centre( including its manager Mr. Tarun - [protected]/ Chief Mr. Jogender - [protected]) without any response (They simply refuse to pick up phone). Twice Mr. Jogender did take my call and promised to get it done soon but nothing has been done. Thereafter there are atleast 25 calls on his mobile no. that he refuses to pick up. I had contacted their Head of customer care Mr. Jaffrey at the call centre on 25/2/2013 morning. He promised to get it done in day. He has also failed to sort the issue or even respond. All efforts to contact their Branch heads and other officials in Delhi proved futile. The telephone numbers[protected] &[protected] for Ms. Geetanjali) provided by the customercare keeps on ringing without anybody picking them up. The net result is that after 21 days of filling complaint and after making atleast 50-60 calls( I have the call records) the issue remains unresolved, my dryer is not working. I am left with no alternative but to approach the Consumer court in Delhi for either return and refund OR replacement of my defective appliance OR immediate repair ALONG with the compensation.
I have also filled the feedback form on their website twice earlier and today also, but nobody has contacted me on the issue. Is it the IFB tradition not to respond to any complaint????
This is a message to the management of IFB appliances that no company can survive without its customers. This pathetic quality of service is not going to do any good to their business. I am so disappointed with IFB service that I am considering putting these reviews on various consumer forum websites.

IFB-MAXIDRY — My IFB-MAXIDRY is not working since 3 Years
My IFB-MAXIDRY is not working since 3 Years. After lodging complaint technician attends after 5 - 6 Weaks and further spoils the machine. I have asked many times for a senior engineer / knowledgeable person to look at the machine. But, still the company is sending people who do not know the work. Since last 20-25 days smoke and burning smell is also coming from the machine. My clothes are getting burnt in the dryer and I have to throw them away. I have already lost 3-4 cycles of clothes together worth much more than the cost of the machine.On calling IFB they keep giving numbers of senior people who either don't pick up the phones or are never in the office. The service centre Antek Services is handling my service. I was able to contact Mr.Bharani[+91-[protected]] (supposedly someone senior and in charge) once around 15 days earlier. Now, he is always avoiding my call.
Looking at their damn care attitude, I realise that I made a mistake buying an IFB product and also urge other people not to buy IFB Products. By buying IFB not only is one faced with faulty machines and the regular service issues but also financial losses by clothes getting spoilt / destroyed in their machines.
