Complain Details:
I am writing to file a complaint against Wooden Street for their fraudulent misrepresentation and unfair business practices. On Nov 15, I placed an order for "High back office chair with breathable mesh fabric and adjustable lumbar support {order id#556423}", a product that was advertised under the Diwali offer with 66% off. However, Wooden Street failed to fulfill the order and denied my request for a replacement chair of a similar standard.

Specific Issues:
Misrepresentation of Product Availability: Wooden Street advertised the product as being available in stock under the Diwali offer, but they failed to inform me that the product was not actually available until Nov, 22nd, 2023, 7days days after I placed my order.

Unreasonable Delay in Informing Customer: Wooden Street exhibited an unreasonable delay of seven days in informing me about the product's unavailability. Despite my repeated inquiries through calls, chats, and emails, they maintained that the product was in production. However, on the eighth day, I received an abrupt email stating that the product was out of stock and my order would be canceled. This lapse in communication caused me considerable inconvenience and mental distress.

Denial of Replacement Chair: When I requested a replacement chair of a similar standard, Wooden Street denied my request, leaving me without the product I ordered and without any compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Impact of Fraudulent Misrepresentation and Unfair Business Practices:
Wooden Street's fraudulent misrepresentation and unfair business practices have caused me the following:
Financial Loss: I have incurred financial losses due to the non-delivery of the product and the subsequent cancellation of my order. The upfront payment made for the product remains unrecovered, leaving me without the product I intended to purchase. Moreover, the time spent following up with Wooden Street, filing complaints, and researching their fraudulent practices has resulted in wasted work hours that could have been utilized for productive endeavors.

Wooden Street's delayed response regarding the product's unavailability deprived me of the opportunity to capitalize on Diwali offers from other retailers. As a result, I am now constrained to purchase the same chair at a significantly higher price, three to four times the original amount I paid. This financial burden has caused considerable hardship and undermines my trust in Wooden Street's business practices.

Inconvenience: I have spent countless hours following up with Wooden Street and trying to resolve this issue, causing me significant inconvenience and disruption to my life.

Mental Distress: I have experienced significant mental distress due to the frustration and disappointment caused by Wooden Street's actions.

Demand for Resolution:
In light of the fraudulent misrepresentation and unfair business practices committed by Wooden Street, I demand the following:

A replacement chair of similar quality & functionality I originally ordered OR A refund amount that enables me to purchase a similar chair from another retailer.

An additional compensation amount for the inconvenience, mental distress, and loss of time I have endured.

A public apology acknowledging Wooden Street's shortcomings and the inconvenience caused to me.

A commitment to implement stricter quality control measures and improved customer service procedures to prevent such incidents from recurring.

Through extensive research, I have uncovered a pattern of fraudulent practices employed by Wooden Street, where numerous customers have encountered similar issues. This pattern includes instances of delayed delivery, denial of replacement products, and even the provision of substandard materials. These widespread grievances paint a concerning picture of Wooden Street's disregard for customer satisfaction and ethical business practices.

I have attached copies of relevant documents, including order confirmations, email correspondence, and screenshots, to support my complaint. I urge you to take immediate action to address this matter and provide me with the resolution I deserve.
