DETAILED COMPLAINT:
I purchased a bread product (Modern Zero Maida Bread) through Zepto Quick Commerce
on 21 July 2026 (Order ID: SOSIJMSRM68881).
The product was delivered within 8-10 minutes. Upon inspection, I discovered that
the bread packaging COMPLETELY LACKS:
- Manufacturing Date
- Expiry Date / Best Before Date
- Any date marking whatsoever
VIOLATION: This is a clear violation of Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and
Labeling) Regulations, 2011, which mandates that all packaged food products must
have manufacturing and expiry dates clearly printed on the package.
CONSUMER CONCERN: Without this critical information, I cannot determine:
1. Whether the product is fresh
2. When it was manufactured
3. When it will expire
4. Whether it's safe to consume
BACKGROUND: Recent media reports indicate that some dealers/distributors are erasing
original manufacturing dates and printing new ones to extend shelf life artificially.
This incident raises serious questions about product tampering and quality control.
IMMEDIATE ACTION TAKEN: I have already logged a complaint with Zepto customer support
(Support Ticket: TK1D4E1FCAF2F) and initiated a refund request.
REQUEST: Immediate investigation into:
1. Why this product left the facility without date markings
2. Whether any date manipulation is occurring in the supply chain
3. Quality assurance processes at Zepto and Moderna Bread
4. Compliance with FSSAI regulations
