Set-top box charges

My airtel dth set-top box stopped working suddenly. I raised a compliant with customer care. An engineer visited my house and checked, he informed set top box is faulty and lnb in antenna also to be replaced. He said settop box will cost 200 and lnb is 250 and engineer visit is 150. As total he was asking 600rs for replacing everything. I am not sure why i have to pay when the services and devices are provided by airtel.
I paid rs 3000 for their box during initial connection. Why should i pay again when they provided such poor quality box. This is not acceptable and not happy with this kind of service from airtel
If this can be fixed without any charge i will continue to use the service, otherwise i will cancel the service and go for some other provider.
