Airtribe — Complaint Regarding Unfair Refund Denial and Lack of Transparency

I enrolled in an online course offered by Airtribe and paid ₹5, 000 as the first installment. At the time of enrollment, the refund policy was not clearly explained or highlighted to me.
Due to work commitments, I was handling multiple projects with random shifts and weekend work. Because of this, I was unable to attend live sessions or access course content. I did not watch or use any course material.
I informed the company that I would not be able to attend currently and requested to either pause or reserve my seat. Later, I clearly communicated that I wanted to cancel the course. After this, the course was removed from my profile.
However, the company refused to provide a refund, citing their refund policy, which was never clearly communicated before payment.
Since no service was actually availed by me and access has already been removed, I am requesting a refund of the amount paid. I believe denying a refund in this situation is unfair and against consumer rights.
This complaint is not only about the refund amount, but also about ensuring that companies operating in India follow fair practices, maintain transparency, and clearly communicate their policies while handling customers.
I request the concerned authority to help resolve this issue and direct the company to refund the amount paid.
