I ordered a custom 18K gold tennis necklace and bracelet from AJ Retail (ajretail.com), based on CAD specifications they provided, which included ~41.5 grams of gold and ~45 carats of diamonds.
However, upon delivery, the items contained only ~32.7 grams of gold (8.8g short) and ~37.5 carats of diamonds (shortfall of ~7.5ct). These are not small discrepancies – they represent over $1000 USD in missing material.
I contacted the seller, who acknowledged the gold shortfall and offered only store credit ($850), but refused a cash refund or material replacement. I declined store credit and requested a proper resolution, but have now been ignored.
