I am writing this email with serious concern regarding my booking at Hotel Sonia, Udham Singh Nagar, National Highway 87, Rudrapur – Uttarakhand for 4th of this month.
My booking details and the hotel’s refund/cancellation policy document are attached for your reference.
On the day of travel, our Indigo flight for 4th was cancelled unexpectedly, and we were left in an extremely stressful and traumatizing situation at the airport. Everything happened so suddenly that we were mentally disturbed, confused, and completely occupied with rearranging our travel plans.
In the middle of that chaos, we could not cancel our hotel booking in time, which was genuinely beyond our control.
However, it is disappointing and quite surprising to hear that the hotel is now refusing to provide a refund, even after explaining the situation — especially when the booking was not utilized at all.
Given the circumstances, I strongly request you to reconsider your decision.
This was neither intentional nor negligence from our side; it happened because of an airline operational failure, which is completely unpredictable and none of the passengers could have managed or avoided.
We have been under unnecessary stress because of this entire incident, and your cooperation in processing a refund would not only be appreciated but also expected as a gesture of fairness and professionalism.
I request you to kindly review the attached voucher and your policy document once again and process the refund at the earliest.
Please understand that the room was not used, and the situation was entirely unavoidable due to the flight cancellation.
I hope the hotel will handle this matter responsibly and avoid further inconvenience.
