There are two types of warranty on a WD drive, one is manufacturer’s warranty which starts from the date of manufacturing. The second one is sales warranty which will start after the registration of drive on the WD website.
So If you have registered and after that it shows the same, you may go ahead and change the drive from the shop keeper( Alpha Infotech).
