Amzon — Amazon India Refusing Return and Refund for Damaged Aquaguard Purifier Due to Incorrect Order Status

I purchased an Aquaguard water purifier from Amazon India through Cash on Delivery.

After delivery, I found that the product was damaged. When I tried to initiate a return through Amazon, I was unable to do so because the order status incorrectly showed "Undelivered, " even though I had already received the product.

I immediately contacted Amazon Customer Service several times by phone. Every time I was given different information and assured that the issue would be resolved. However, no action was taken. I also attempted to contact Amazon by email, but I received only automated replies stating that the email addresses do not accept incoming messages.

I also reported the damaged product to Eureka Forbes, and my complaint was registered under Complaint No. CM[protected]. Despite this, I am still left with a damaged product and no way to return it because of Amazon's incorrect order status.

This issue has caused me considerable inconvenience, stress, and loss of time. The inability to return the product is due to an error in Amazon's system and not because of any fault on my part.

I request Amazon India to:

Correct the incorrect order status.
Arrange the return pickup of the damaged Aquaguard purifier.
Issue a full refund for the order.
Resolve this complaint without any further delay.

I have photographs of the damaged product, screenshots showing the incorrect "Undelivered" order status, and records of my communications with Amazon Customer Service and Eureka Forbes. I am prepared to provide these as evidence if required.

I hope Amazon India will resolve this matter promptly. If not, I will continue pursuing my complaint through the National Consumer Helpline and the appropriate Consumer Commission.
