Arunam Travels — TATA given faulty new car

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

I bought new car TATA INDIGO Ecs on 15th July, 2015. We have noticed 'check engine' error on 16th July 2015. Car taken to Concorde workshop to investigation and repair on 17th July. Later during the day, Mr. Nishant had a word with me on phone and communicated that there are some wires that look damaged. However, although Mr. Nishant pointed out that some wires look like they were damaged, my driver was told that the “Check Engine “ problem would be sorted out later and on my telephonic conversation that very day with him, he suggested that it was safe to take the vehicle out. Further, he told me that the servicing for that issue could be taken up on the next Friday 24th July 2015. However since this is a new car ( barely 2 days since delivery from the show room), I insisted that this issue be resolved earlier. I specifically asked for Monday instead of Friday. My issue is this – Barely minutes after taking the car from the workshop, there were fumes coming out of the bonnet. In my mind, this is a plain case of Concorde trying to cover things up and make up a story considering that the average customer is not an engineer or technically qualified to understand such things. In a servicing don’t you check whether things are fine before giving it back to the customer? That too for a two day old car.Why was the engine check problem not resolved before handing it back to us.While I am not a technical person, why can’t I assume that this very unresolved problem caused the fumes? Secondly, why was there never a call from your end either Tata motors or Concorde pro-actively informing me that the problem is being looked into. Since, this is tourist vehicle I am incurring following financial loss : Driver payment Rs 500 daily Uber instrument cost rs 300 weekly Business income of Rs 2000+ daily Car EMI 13000/- monthly. Car is with TATA wef from 17th July, till date I.e. 6th August. Nearly 20 days and my loss is 50000/-. Tata is not replacing my faulty car with new one. Tata is giving me same car without covering my loss.
