Balaji & bros in (3b 2) mohali (Booth no 37 &39) selling tapentadol medicine, prescribed for moderate to severe pain, for a long time to addicts at higher rates without prescription. A majority of drugs sold without prescription are addictive in nature and long term use of such medicines can cause serious ailments. Pharmacist should maintain a registry with the name and address of prescriber, date of supply, name and address of patient, details of drug and quantity of medicine. The drug inspectors should check if the registries’ are maintained. The sale of tapentadol is dangerous because the doctors would have earlier prescribed this according to the condition of the body. It is not advisable to repeat the drugs without consulting the doctor.. Pls take some action against them. They are ruining young life. Their licence should be banned.
