My name is PHILOMENA FERNANDES (same is mention in my passport) I have completed my Bcom in the year 2008 from Bangalore University.

In all my mark sheets from 1st sem to 6th semester B com & even in my CONVOCATION CERTIFICATE (received on july 2010) name is mentioned as PHILOMINA FERNADES . (first name I is mentioned instead of E & in last name N is missing )

Should i get my name corrected in all my cerificates? will i have any problem if i dont change, since m working in abroad.

This is in regards to the 1st semester results which should be arrived before 1 month but it has already been 6 months passed and moreover our 2nd semester is also over still the result of 1 st semester MBA is still pending.
Please look into this matter.

My 6th semester results of 2010 were announced this june and i was failed in a subject inspite of gettin good marks in other subjects. and now when i ve approached for revalution, Bangalore university states that there is a new procedure in which we get the xerox of the answer script and then we go ahead with the revaluation if we are sure that we deserve more marks. They stated that on the 15th july we will be getting the xerox and that we have to collect it from our respective college,we decently agreed to follow this procedure. But when we approached the college for the xerox answer scripts, college informs us that Bangalore University has refused to give us the answer script and that they will upload it on the net. But there's no answer script on the net and we dont kmow wht to do . Even the BU has a i-dont-care attitide and so does my college (SRI BHAGAWAN MAHAVEER JAIN COLLEGE,VV PURAM). Till now we are not allowed to appy for revaluation as BU is just not interested in releasing the xerox answer script. We dont know what to do. I am really pleading you to take some serious action against this universtiy as its the matter of my future. All my job interviews are put on a painful hold because this university is holding my paper and future too. Please please take some action. I am very tensed and depressed. My future is at stake. I cant even apply for further course because of my back paper. Please take some action so that the revalation process is escalated.

Is it true tat i[censored] have back papers in b.com in blore university , then u wont be allowed to take finance for the final year and will have to study marketting only?? i wanted to take finance in final year but the college is not giving me finance..they are insisting to take marketting and said tat its a university rule... and the worst part is tat i flunked in marketting only and have good marks in accounts...can anyone help me in this matter??????? :(

i appeared in 2008 6th sem.and applied for revaluation for one of the paper.but havent received the result yet.so i gave the documents to one of the employee in the University.but now he doesnt pick up my calls anymore.i dont know how to find him.i have given him money(6k) too as he said i need to pay fine for there was a problem in my internal marks.but everyhthing seems to be in vain and i have lost so many years waiting for my markscard.i cant even proceed with my studies.i would be very thankful if this site can help me in any ways.i will give you my details(reg no. and stuffs) once u reply me.im so helpless.plz contact me through my email..thanks in advance..

I did hotel management, am 2007 pass out still i haven't got my 3rd year marks card, when i went to university to find out what the problem is, nobody responded properly. Later a guy called Y.S.R. Reddy, who works in bangalore university told he will help me out if i give him money.I had cleared all the subjects had no arrears but still i agreed to pay money, now totally i have paid 7500 RUPEES still haven't got my certificates. now when i call Reddy from my no he wil not pick my call, if i call from other no he will pick and tell there is some computer problem thats why its delaying, he will tell not to worry soon i will get my certificate. If i go directly to the university i am not getting any help. Is there anyone who can help me out, is there any use if i lodge a complaint here.If somebody can help me out please call to this no. i am a BBM student from bangalore university, i am doing BBM final year. I hav applied for revaluation for a subject of my 5th sem in the month of January 2010. but till today bangalore university has not started the revaluation. Its almost 5 months and the correction process has not started, there r many students waiting for their results. Only if results come we can apply for MBA.

I want U to go into this matter and at-least make the sleeping bangalore university to start the correction now and save the lifes of many student in bangalore.

I have completed my B.Sc from Bangalore University in 2005, unfortunately i could not apply for convocation ceritificate. Can I apply for one now?. If Yes can you please guide me the detailed procedure to apply for convocation/degree certificate . Can I approach the university directly? How long does it take to receive the certificate.

I have been struggling from past 5 years i have started my bca from Bangalore university till now i havent got all my marka card .Whenever i give exams the result and marks card doesnt come .When i go to college they say to contact Bangalore University .when i went to BU majestic they said to go to Kengiri office .I have been struggling like hell running here and there to BU .I think why student only have to suffer after paying examination fees and writing exams .For there own marks card they have to run here and there and spoil there life .

I really dont know what to do and how to go about with this .

My story goes like this - Appeared for S.Y.BCom & T.Y.BCom (correspondence mode) examination in May/June 2009. Visiting Bangalore university correspondence section, the duffers sitting in stone building and Kengeri office since Oct'2009. After lot of struggles, got the marks written on a piece of paper from Maharani college (malleshwaram) but still no trace of the Marks card. Not a single so-called counsellers or regional directors have a penny of knowledge of what is the progress on the processing of marks card. Every other week we go to one officer and he says he is not aware or he is not responsible and gives another name and location for us to run behind.

After reading thru similar complaints before seems there is NO ONE really taking action on these Complaints as I havent heard of any followups or comments for any of the complaints listed on this forum.

I think we all need to collectively approach either POLICE or the MEDIA (they're always waiting) to make this happen and have the university management do what is supposed to do ATLEAST!

Reply to me in comments if everyone agrees to it because seems thats the only way to resolve this issue. Please feel free to write up in case you have any other suggestions or thoughts.

I beg to bring to your kind notice that i am a foreign student who received admission at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, Bangalore (affiliated to Bangalore University) in June 2008. However, the university has shown sheer indiscipline and incompetence as till date they have not sent my Eligibility Certificate to the college. I had paid Rs 6500 for the eligibility certificate and it is a cricial prerequisite for VIsa extension. My visa is expiring at the end of this month and I am having a lot of trouble because i did not receive my eligibility. The college keep on telling me to wait and they will do the necessary but till now the response has been unfavorable.
If Bangalore wants to be an Education Hub for foreign students, it should be more transparent and competent in its operations.

I want to log a complaint against Bangalore University as the Management of this university is really very bad...The People inside who wotk for University are really waste...I had applied for my Letter of Convocation in september 2008 & till now no reply from University...I have visited Many times to check about the same,but no proper reply...& Yesterday i went to apply for my M.com 2nd year Admission but the had such a bad system that after standing in line for 6 yrs also i was not able to apply.. I had taken application form & went for submitting form & to pay fees...we had to get the Demand Draft verified,but there was huge lines for the same & the people from University could not manage anything..they had just 2 counters to verify dd's & people were waiting frm Morning 10am to 5pm but still they could not... people were rushing,pushing eachother & breaking lines but the security gaurds were just standing & watching the scene... Many Ladies fell down & the security gaurds were standing & enjoting the scenes....this is really very sytem where nothing is organised...Every Year in fees they include Postal Charges 200.00 rupees but till today never received any post from Bangalore University... For each & every thing we have to Go to University & Beg the people to get our work done....
Its a humble request to take some Strict Action against This University & the Management should be Changed & they should appoint some honest people to work...

I have done my M.E. from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering which comes under Bangalore University and passes out in year 2007. As a GATE qualified student we are eligible to receive Rs. 5000/- as our monthly stipend ,which comes to a sum of Rs. 1,20,000/- for 2 years. But University has issued us only Rs. 30000/- so far and the rest of Rs. 90000/- is still not paid. Whenever we ask Vice Chancellor or Registrar ,they say the amount has not been sanctioned by UGC Delhi,but we know other colleges have got the stipend amount long back. I'll be thankful to you if you please help us in this matter

I passed BBM in 2005, got my provisional degree from the college and Migration certificate from the university in 2005 itself. However I could not apply for convocation as I had to relocate to a different country. Now I need my convocation certificate on an urgent basis.I had written a couple of exams in supplementary although I cleared all my exams with my regular batch[protected].

I am a student of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College. My complaint is regarding the Internal Assessment (I.A) Marks printed in the result sheets by The Bangalore University. Students who were irregular to the college and/or exams held, have been awarded passing/full marks, where as MANY of the students including Me, have been cheated in this matter. I have been awarded 2 I.A marks OUT OF 20 in 2 subjects as a result of which Ive been unable to clear all the subjects in my Final Year. Ive got satisfactory attendance and everything required for I.A marks. FOR YOUR KIND NOTICE STUDENTS WHO NEVER ATTEND COLLEGE HAVE GOT MORE MARKS THAN THOSE WHO HAVE NOT. I REQUEST THE AUTHORITIES TO RECHECK OR REVALUATE THE PAPERS AND MARKS FOR BCA STUDENTS.

I have compleated my 2nd PU and I am planned to do BA (Bachelor of Arts) in Bangalore University Distance Education in Correspondence. I am contacting the University several times to know about its Courses and Information about applicaton for BA. It is continuealy postponnig the application date. they tell that tey will be giving application after 15days. and if i call after 15days again they tell me to contact after 15 days. they are doing the same from past 6 to 7 months. not only that whennever i contact them to get information they wont receive the call immediatly. up to till i had nearly 15 times, one time also they have not picked the call in one ring. we have to keepon calling morethan 20 times, after they may reaceve. I had taken its number through justdail. I not only contacted one number I had tried for three Telephone number.. if we ask why not reaceiving the call they inform we were in the other call. Bangalore University is one of among big University in Asia. if they start the course in Jan 2010. we have to write the exam in june or july. we get only 6 months time to study. we also study only University sillabus we wont get its Textbooks in any bookshops. I had compleated my 2nd PU in Pravite itself. I got 1st Class I thouht in Praivite we can continue my further education. but now I am thinking that why I have choosen this kind bad management University. lot of people told me that this University is not good try for another and I had sow in some articles in kannada news paper about this University. Now I am getting scare weather to continue in that bad University. I am thinking what it will be in my future.

Firstly I struggled to get my marks from the university, i have done my B A degree in june 2008. but results have not yet come and after running around for 1 month they agreed to open the paper and they found that I had passed in ALL the subjects. I got that registered and noted in their records.

After that I almost followed up for 6 months to get marks card from them ( which they were supposed to send by post). Finally I went to the university and I asked them about my marks card. After lot of arguments they checked their records and found that it was their mistake in register number ( 1st year B A and 2nd year B A roll number was same but Final year B A roll number was different ) After that I submitted the inventions diary ( I was collected from where I was written in the exam center ) to them for correct my marks card.

Still I have not received my final year B A marks Card yet which i have given for the number correction.


I insisted on getting correct marks card and they asked me to go and check in Kengeri office.
Why should the students run around for the irresponsible behaviour and reckleness of the university staff members? They don’t even care to listen to student issues and create more issues for students?

Who can help me get the final Year marks card from the university?

I am Savitha from Tamilnadu . I am studying one Law collage in Bangalore. Which is comes Under Bangalore University. Here lot of people are coming from Tamilnadu. They are not studying anything.Even they dont know meaning of LAW also >Simply they are joining Bcoz <If they pay money They can get Pass marks.Per paper thye are paying 2,500.
Lotof middle man are involving in this one. BJR College People and Survodhaya law colege people are mainly doing this business only(Including Lecturers).I am a normal student. But i am unable to score more marks,Bcoz i dont have money to pay the university people. Here lot of people studying ( More than 5o yr old also)
They will not attend even single class also.
But they will attend the exam and they will get first class also
Bcoz of money.
I think in bangalore university law side only it is happening .the law students are getting Pass marks on ILLEGAL Way. This one is happening more than 4 yrs, but i dont know to whom we can give the complaint.
all the top level people are involving this one,

So we need to some thing .Main People Are

and the prinipal of the BJR college
and one old Student Selva, He is from Tamilnadu (Bjr College).And some sarvodaya college People also.If we check all the previous semester paper from this 2 college students , we can get the details.Per paper they are paying Rs 2,500

Yesterday there was an announcement in all colleges that the second language
'additional english' has been cancelled and students have to study only
kannada. We would definitely appreciate the decision, but not just one week
before the exam. Degree I semester exams are starting from November 19th onwards. How can anybody expect any student to study one year syllabus in just one week. This is rediculous. How can educated people can take such last minute decision. Because of this tension, students are worrying and neglecting other subjects also. The university could have taken this decision from next sem onwards. An average student would fail in all
subjects now because of this tension. How about assignments, attendance
etc.

It is really a funny decision for this semester exam, and hope the
authorities would look into this and find some solution for this. I heard
this decision was taken to fulfill the demands of Karnataka Rakshana
demand. Ok we also agree and salute to Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, but not
troubling students like this just before one week of the exam.
