I am the Secretary of the Banjara Hills MLA Colony Welfare Forum. On behalf of our residents Association, we would like to bring to you notice regarding the illegal foot path encroachment and running Loo Café, a food Joint/court on the footpath opposite to Omega Hospital Foot path leading up to Axis Bank, MLA Colony and also some other food Joints totally occupying the Full length of the Foot Path (on both sides). Due to this entire foot path encroachments, women, old aged people and other citizens are are not even able to enter into the MLA Colony or go out. There are Huge Hospital like Omega Hospital (Cancer Super Specialty) Hospital, City Neuro Centre, Gastro Enterology Super Specialty, Euro-School & other Schools, due to illegal occupancy foot paths the area is totally over crowded and there is huge vehicular movement on both sides of the road, often leading to many accidents and heavy Traffic Jams. There is no proper Traffic regulation and its always a night mare to enter into or go out of the Colony.
Several times we raised complaints regarding this issue but no permanent steps are taken by the authorities. When complaints were raised, written and orally, GHMC personnel came for namesake and took his Gas Cylinder and returned immediately after the Food Court vendor bring some political pressure or pay some illegal gratification to GHMC employees privately. Thus the Food Joint owner is happily continuing illegal food court, selling Tea, Food items, cigarettes, preparing the food on the street as usual. It is causing lot of nuisance, inconvenience for walking on the foot path, traffic jams because of parking vehicles on both sides of main rood, serving unhygienic food without permission from concerned authorities. In the name of Foof stall/tea stall, he is also running indian and Chinese food items also.
Pl treat this as a final request and initiate immediate action, seal the premises and clear the encroachment on the footpath at the earliest. Your action will save lot of lives from the road accidents during busy hours, and food poisoning from Loo CafeFood Joint.
It needs no reiteration that the Hon’ble High Court is very serious on illegal foot path encroachment cases and issuing slew of directions for their removals from time time. If the afore mentioned, illegal foot path encroachments are not removed, we may be left with no option except to seek appropriate directions from the Court.
