I purchased a VW television through Amazon on 04/03/2025 for ₹9, 499. On 23/08/2026, the TV developed a screen defect while it was still under the manufacturer's warranty, which expired on 03/09/2026. After repeated follow-ups and delays, a technician visited on 02/09/2026, confirmed that the panel required replacement, and assured me that the issue would be resolved within 7 days. However, despite the passage of approximately one and a half months, the replacement panel has not been provided and the TV remains defective. The company has repeatedly given assurances of resolution within a few days or a week but has failed to honour them. Customer-care calls frequently go unanswered, and my complaint appears to have been closed without the issue being resolved. I also received a generic email stating that the company was working on my complaint, but no action followed. I have escalated the matter to the National Consumer Helpline under Docket No. 10147705, but the issue remains unresolved. I believe this conduct amounts to deficiency in service under Section 2(11) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. I seek a refund of ₹9, 499, along with appropriate compensation and costs as deemed fit by the Consumer Commission, for the prolonged delay, inconvenience and failure to honour the warranty service. I have retained the purchase invoice, warranty details, complaint records, technician details, correspondence and call recordings as supporting evidence.
