To Whom It May Concern,
I would like to introduce myself—my name is Raju Bawane, and my contact details are as follows:
Mobile Number: [protected]
PAN Number: AQJPB8204A
Email ID: [protected]@gmail.com
I am writing to inform you that I received a call offering an online insurance policy from PNB MetLife. However, the agent who contacted me was not an authorized representative of PNB MetLife. Instead, they were a third-party agent falsely claiming to offer a bundled policy that included health insurance for six family members for twenty years at no additional cost.
Attracted by the health insurance benefits, I decided to purchase the policy. Later, I was told that in order to receive the health cards, I needed to purchase another insurance policy with a single premium, and that this premium would be refunded after one year. Based on these assurances, I purchased an additional policy from Bharti AXA.
After making the payments, the agent blocked my number and ceased all communication. Upon receiving the policy bonds, I discovered that the listed agent names were completely unfamiliar, confirming that I had been misled by unauthorized and possibly fraudulent agents claiming to represent both PNB MetLife and Bharti AXA.
These individuals appear to be part of a scam network, using false promises to deceive customers and make their operation appear legitimate.
Below are the contact numbers of the agents involved in this scam:
Rahul Sharma – Mobile:[protected]
Vinay – Mobile:[protected]
Priti – Landline: +[protected]
Sonali – Mobile:[protected]
Mukesh Kumar – Landline: +[protected]
Ankit Kumar – Landline: +[protected]
Policy Details:
PNB MetLife
Policy No: 25168859
Premium Paid: ₹51, 370 (Two premiums paid)
Renewal payment receipt attached
Bharti AXA
Policy No:[protected]
Premium Paid: ₹82, 000 (One premium paid)
Policy document attached
Once I realized I had been scammed, I contacted the customer care departments of both companies and even visited the Bharti AXA branch nearest to me. Unfortunately, both companies refused to acknowledge my complaint, despite being informed that unauthorized agents had been used to fraudulently sell their products.
I requested a cancellation of both policies and a refund of the amount I had paid. However, I was threatened that if I failed to continue paying the premiums, my policies would lapse and no refund would be given.
My Request:
I respectfully request the Consumer Court to look into this matter and take appropriate action. I kindly ask for a refund of the amount I have paid, as I have been clearly misled and defrauded by unauthorized agents.
Thank you for your time and support.
Sincerely,
Raju Bawane
