This complaint is about Bro4u home services in Bangalore. I had requested for electrical (work order # 141950) as well as plumbing services (work order # 141947) in the house where I moved in, earlier this month. I booked their services 2 weeks ago and scheduled them to do the work on May 7th 2017. The electrician and the plumber turned up in the afternoon for work, after learning the requirements they took money from me and bought materials worth INR 5560.00 (INR 1775 for electrical and INR 3785 for plumbing). I wanted 3 switch boards along with wiring and wanted the plumber to fix a wash basin, washroom cabinet, health faucet and tap for connecting washing machine.
The plumber fixed the washroom cabinet upside down, bought a tap that doesn't fit my washing machine inlet pipe and broke the washbasin that he was trying to fix. He tried buying another one but the shops had closed since it was Sunday evening. The electrician also couldn’t finish the job and both promised that they will finish the work next evening. Next day I called them from work to confirm whether they will be visiting my house to finish the work, for which they gave an affirmative response and I left office early. Evening neither of them turned up and I tried calling them but they didn’t answer my call. The electrician called later and told me that he will come next day morning and finish the work, which he did and I paid him his charges in the amount of INR 800.00 (he gave me Rs 100 discount), the actual bill was for INR 900.00.
Later in the day when I called the plumber he informed me that he wasn’t carrying his mobile that’s why my calls weren’t answered. He told me that he will finish the work in the evening and again I left work early for that. He never turned up and never answered my calls, next day when I called him he questioned me on why did I pay the electrician and that I shouldn’t have paid him because the electrician was his employee. I informed him that am at work and that we will discuss it in the evening when he comes to work, I left office early that day too! And he never turned up. When I tried calling him, his wife answered the phone and started arguing with me for the fact that I paid the electrician, she was on verge of shouting and wouldn’t listen to my reasoning, I had to disconnect the call. Immediately, I called up Bro4U and informed them about the incident and they told me that they will look into the matter and will get in touch with the plumber to get the work done. They told me that they will call me in 10 minutes and get the issue resolved however neither did they call nor they answered my call. Next day nothing happened but I got a call from Bro4u because I had raised an issue with them. They asked me to stay on the line and while they contacted the plumber, however my line got dropped. I have been trying to call Bro4u and they aren’t answering my call.
In my house, I have a broken wash basin, an upside-down cabinet and a faulty tap which aren’t working and of no use to me. Imagine every I should rinse my mouth and spit in the commode! It’s disgusting. Please advise and help, I don’t want services from these guys anymore however they will have to compensate for the damages and the scolding I have got from my manager for leaving early.
