Bus Driver Of Dtc — Complaint regarding rash and dangerous driving, excessive honking, abusive language and threats by dtc bus driver/conductor

Respected Sir/Madam,

I wish to lodge a serious and strongly worded complaint against the driver and conductor of DTC Bus No. DL51GD9077 in respect of extremely unsafe, irresponsible and unacceptable conduct on 02 September 2026 at approximately 12:00 Noon at CD Block Main Road, Pitampura, Delhi, between Rukmini Devi Public School and the Power House.

During the incident, the driver was allegedly driving the bus in a rash, negligent and dangerous manner at excessive speed, creating a serious risk to the safety of other road users and pedestrians. The driver was also unnecessarily and excessively honking, causing considerable disturbance and creating an unsafe situation on the road.

When the matter was objected to/questioned, the driver and/or conductor used abusive and objectionable language and, most seriously, threatened to beat and kill me. Such threatening behaviour by persons operating a public transport vehicle is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns regarding the safety of passengers and members of the public.

A DTC bus is a public-service vehicle and its driver and conductor are expected to maintain safe driving standards, discipline, courtesy and responsible behaviour at all times. Rash driving combined with abusive and threatening behaviour is particularly serious because it can endanger the lives and safety of innocent members of the public.

I therefore request DTC to:

Immediately investigate the incident involving Bus No. DL51GD9077.
Identify and examine the conduct of the concerned driver and conductor on duty at the relevant time.
Verify the incident through available CCTV footage, GPS/location records, duty/route records and other available evidence, including any bus camera footage, if available.
Take strict departmental/disciplinary action against the persons found responsible for rash/dangerous driving, excessive honking, abusive behaviour and threats.
Take appropriate action regarding the threats of physical violence, as such conduct cannot be permitted from personnel operating a public transport service.
Ensure that the concerned staff are appropriately counselled/trained regarding road safety, public behaviour and conduct towards citizens.
Provide me with a written acknowledgement and complaint/reference number for this complaint.
Most importantly, please provide me with a clear written update on the action taken and present status of the complaint, including the outcome of the investigation and action taken against the concerned driver/conductor.
I request that this complaint not merely be recorded as a routine grievance. The allegations concern dangerous driving and threats of serious physical violence and therefore require an appropriate and prompt investigation.

I also request DTC to preserve all relevant records and CCTV/video footage relating to Bus No. DL51GD9077 and its movement/duty at approximately 12:00 Noon on 02 September 2026, so that relevant evidence is not lost during the investigation.

I expect DTC to treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and take strict action against any employee found responsible.
