Career Focus — online job placement fraud | |||||
I got call on 5-jan-19 at 10:00 am from number +[protected]Supposed to be from dubai, united arab emirates). The person on call identified himself as representative of career focus placement agency operating out of dubai. He mentioned that he has seen my resume on one of the job portals and checked with me whether i am looking for job abroad. I mentioned yes and on that he asked my preference of countries. I mentioned my preference being singapore, uk, canada. He mentioned that career focus is doing recruitment for some of the leading consulting firms like delloite, kpmg etc and they have few openings in singapore. He asked me to come online and pay joining fee for being eligible for overseas offers. I went online and after following his instructions paid of the joining fee rs. 4130/-. The executive then transferred the call to other executive for further processing. I was asked by this agent to pay money for different services like validating my employment verification and my educational certificates. I am enclosing all the payment details herewith.
