Careermons — fraudulent job consultancy

Hi All,

I want you to be aware about these people who claim to be calling from this job placement website (Careermons.com) and they say its a Singapore based Job consultancy. I received phone calls from their representatives who claimed to be based out of their Lucknow office (that too after i rigidly asked them where they are located) and said they have offices in Mumbai as well but there is no information listed on their website about any of their India offices.

Since i was jobless and needed job urgently so i fell in the trap and got myself registered with
them (their registered name is 'Aplaster Infotech' which shows up when you make the payment) when I got a call from one of their representatives 'Ms Ananya'.

I was then transferred over by 'Ms Ananya' to 'Mr Virat' who guided me through to the registration process on their website. I then made a payment of Rs 5750/- which they said was the one time registration fee. I somehow made that payment twice by mistake (once through PAYTM and once through Credit Card) because the first one through PAYTM did not go through as the moment i clicked on the submit button on the last page of the payment the website showed some error and there lies the fraud.

They have done this technical glitch on their website deliberately wherein your payment will go through but website will show the error and the representative will say the payment has not been received whereas when you will check your PAYTM passbook, it will show the payment and the registration name of the receiver of the payment.

I immediately reported this to 'Mr Virat' who was talking to me at that moment and he said he will check and get back to me. A few minutes later the same day, 'Mr Virat' called me back confirming that the payment of Rs 5750/- indeed has been received twice by CareerMons.com (Aplaster Infotech) and they will issue a refund for Rs 5750/- shortly but I never received any refund.

After making several phone calls and speaking to several representatives of CareerMons.com, I finally got hold of one 'Mr Aaryan Singh' who said he is the manager and he said he will look into this and issue a refund to me shortly but 2-3 months passed and he did not do anything even after me making several phone calls and requests to him.

I finally approached Gurgaon police and submitted an FIR online and after that i received a phone call from ASI from that police station where the FIR got submitted. The ASI helped me in getting my refund back after he called 'Mr Aaryan' and warned him off dire consequences if he does not refund my duplicate payment. Even then Careermons.com did not refund the full Rs 5750/- and deducted the tax amount saying the tax went to the government.

And after that 'Mr Aaryan' said he will refund my original Rs 5750/- as well for which I never received any services and its till date its been 7-8 months and i have not received any refund of that original amount.

I went to Gurgaon police again and their only advice to me was - "why do you educated people fall in the trap of such fraudsters". They also said that they helped me in getting my duplicated payment refunded but the original one even they could not help because lets face it I paid that amount willingly to Careeermons.comand its my fault and i have to bear the result now.

So my only advice to you all is that refrain from falling in the trap of such websites and job consultancies who say that they are based out of Middle East or Singapore and have offices in India. The truth is that they all are scamsters sitting in small room offices on rent in dodgy buildings in places like Kanpur/Lucknow from where they are running this fraud.

Noone is so concerned and helpful enough these days that they will share your resume and get you shortlisted already with big MNCs and will then say that only if you pay a certain small amount, will they schedule an interview for you.
