On 26th January 2021 I was contacted by a recruiting company called careershike.com, based in India, with a job offer. At present I do not have a job and I was looking for one. So after avoiding many such recruiters I decided to try one as I was running out of my finances.

So I registered with their company for Rs. 8000.01.

They had promised some interviews. On 27th Jan - I received my 1st interview from the Landmark Group. It went well and I was selected for the next round. They told me that my recruiters would connect with me and collect details for verification.

The recruiter told me to again pay Rs.15934 for verification process. An amount that was refundable after I get the job.

I got suspicious as this was not told to me earlier and I showed my concerns. The manager then spoke rudely with me and disconnected the call.

I then tried to call back and ask for a refund of Rs.8000.01. But they have refused to take my calls.

Then I learnt from another source of mine that even the interview was fake as the names mentioned on the telephonic skype call were taken from the companies linkedin accounts. When I tried to trace one of those people, I realised that she was not a part of those who interviewed me.

I have been cheated like many others perhaps. Such websites and organisations need to be shut down and their owners arrested.

I tried filing a complaint on https://cybercrime.gov.in/ but I dont have the recruiters account number.

I had done a netbanking transaction through their payment gateway. So I am contacting my bank to give me the details of their account.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Today, just a few minutes back, I received a call from Careershike.com (Ms. Prakriti Mehra) with the same method of talking and offering few companies and urging me to register on their platform on an immediate basis with the same amount of payment for applying to the Urgent openings. I was supposed to pay the same but asked for 1 hr for decision. Meanwhile, I referred to your experience. Yesterday, I have registered on naukri.com and today received this call. I think naukri.com should need to take some decisions to stop this type of fraudulent placement.

Today I got a call from careerspike.com, from Karan Mehra. Post the call with him he connected me to his HR head who told me they have openings with MNC IB firms. I asked them to send an e-mail with details befor registration for which we need to make a payment of 8000. I'm yet go register and pay the amount. But, I got this call after registering with Naukri, now need to be careful as both parties even reputed job sites are playing with hard earned savings of people and their careers.

I have been cheated by this company. They took my money and did not reimburse. This a fraud company. Can anyone give me their Cyber account number. I want to register a complaint against them.
