I had invested rs 10 lakhs in ccvf in 2008 0n the advice of icici bank relationship officer. The fund now seems defunct, no returns have come so far. The principal amount seems sunk there is no response to queries, nor is any information forthcoming. The fund had projected a return of 20-30% but no returns have been given in the last 11 years or so. The fund in its last communication in 2017 had stated that they are trying to liquidate its meagre balance assets, thereafter no inputs have come the fund is registered with sebi. Icici needs to compensate for the loss. I am retired and badly need the monry

          Dear sir,
I had invested rs 10, 00, 000/- in ccvf in 4 instalments in 2008 on advice of relationship manager of icici bank. The fund was not doing well and i wanted to come out of the fund since 2013. Since that time the company is giving some excuse or other not to refund my invested money. I have no idea how to go about to come out of this fund. Today i tried contacting them but in vain.
I therefore request you to kindly help me in getting back my money. I am in dire need of money as i lost my job in 2013. Hope you will do the needful and oblige.

Yesterday i received a letter stating that even liquidation of assets is not going through!
How can a investment that was promised with much hype, become so bad, when the entire market and industry is doing so well?

Things just does not add up here. There is a scam going on here, and this requires a formal complaint and investigation by a formal complaints bereau. WIll consumer court be the right forum here? WHat can we collectively do as investors who got short changed? Let us come together. Thanks,
            -ganesh
We should go to SCORES (SEBI COmplaints REdressal System) .

I am shocked with the gross negligence by the Fund as well as ICICI Bank who promoted this fund promising upto 400% returns on this so-called recession-proof investment. I agree we should file complaint so that we get back at least the hard earned investment

This fund was promoted by icici bank and many of our friends invested. Icici bank said that this fund cannot make loss but surprisingly, this fund lost allits value mostly due to frauds by this management. Icici bank, as a good bank, should take the loss and compensate their clients as they are resposible for us to make this investment.

The cinema capital venture fund (Ccvf) was promoted by icici bank to its account holders promising returns of around 33 %. However now after 7&1/2 years ccvf of taking min10 lakhs per person from 1259 investors they are claiming to have lost almost all money. Icici bank is trying to wash its hands off this fraud. Request other duped investors get together and we take up matter for justice. Pls contact me on [protected]@gmail.com or mobile [protected]...

I had invested INR 10 Lacs in this fund based on the advice of ICICI wealth management team. We were assured good returns but for the last 7 years all we are receiving is assurances from the management that liquidation is under way. It looks like this is a huge scam and the management should be criminally investigated since the amounts in question are in the region of at least 100 crores as per market feedback

My husband invested Rs. 10 L in CCVF in 2008 and we are still waiting for refund of our invested money forget returns as NAV is dwindelled down and returns are all evaporated.

We had invested considered ICICI bank RM's suggestion. Now RM is transferred to some other location & bank is not taking any responsibility for non refund of principal amount from CCVF.

Can this forum be help for getting our money back

                Thanks.
I had invested 10 lacs in CCVF. The management has been promising exit soon however there is nothing in sight. Leave aside returns, apparently even the principal appears to be lost. Looks like a big scam.
I too have invested. No new from CCVF. ICICI bank is also not helping.

ICICI wealth management team for fat commission cheated Investors who had invested in this fund based on their advice. They and the management should be criminally investigated. ICICI Bank should be disqualified for selling any Structured Product by the concerned authority.

This company is a big fraud. They promised returns of 35 % at time of launch of the fund to entice investors. I invested rs. 20 l on the promise that in 5 years time (Maturity period of the fund), the funds will give returns which would be secure and attractive..

They have paid nothing and in turn asked for first extension for 2 years and then again for 1 year extensions and warned now that if we insist on refund, the fund nav has eroded by 90 %. Based on this, they got extensions to the initial maturity period of 5 years. Over 7 years have now elapsed with zero returns and a bleak future for investors. I did not give my consent for this extension when last asked in oct'15.

The owner mr. Samir gupta has pocketed rs. 35 crores as upfront management fee from the investors and is not bothered. He does not respond to emails or phone calls.

Since sebi was involved in giving approval for this fund, we need to collectively approach them and lodge a complaint for recovery of our monies.

Thru this mail, i am requesting all investors to provide their email addresses and other contact details and let us form a group to collectively get mr. Gupta to at least pay up our principal amounts invested even if we cannot get ant interest on it.

Pl respond and let us apply pressure thru sebi, fir etc else our monies are doomed.

I am also an investor in this fund and for last many days I have been shuttling between CCVF and Karvy. They even gave me wrong phone number contacts. Finally I spoke to Sameer Gupta and this guy is unbelievable. He has eaten up so much money and on phone he was so rude. He said do what you can. He should be held criminally liable and sent to prison. ICICI Bank also should be charged for misleading and fraud.

I am also a investor who has been on the receiving end. I feel completely helpless dealing with funds like CCVF. There is nothing that investors like me can do. [protected]@gmail.com. I have literally been asking them if I can write off the entire amount as a loss as I don't have any more hopes. I had been introduced to this fund via ICICI.
I have also been cheated by this fund. I had invested in them through ICICI bank as I trusted the bank but now ICICI bank is washing its hands off the whole affair. Extremely disappointed with the bank and have lost faith in their investment capabilities. It seems they are only interested in getting their commission rather than looking after their client's interests.
I have already registered an online complaint with SEBI against Cinema Capital fund and would urge others to do the same (http://scores.gov.in). Maybe that might help. Feel free to reach out to me if you need any help registering the complaint. My email id - [protected]@yahoo.com
I am also thinking of registering a formal complaint against ICICI for promoting such fraudulent funds.

I had also invested 20 lakhs. Pls inform me details how we should proceed against these fraudsters and criminals. My mobile is [protected] and email is [protected]@gmail.com. Personally feel we should get all investors together and put Samir Gupta behind bars. Then we should approach ICICI Bank who vetted them and strongly pushed for investing in CCVF.
I have also invested 10 lakhs on ICICI advise. My mobile is [protected] and mail id [protected]@yahoo.com Samir Gupta is a cheat and its time to confiscate his wealth thru SBI intervention.ICICI is also involved in this scam.Let's collectively meet and fight this issue. We have also invested in this fund Rs.10l.
We should fight this legally. It was known from their regular reports that the funds are diverted to their own company. I had discussed this with my ICICI wealth manager as well, but he did not give any response and helpless. This is a serious fraud done by the Guptas and Mehra.
We have invested in name of our company Intra Electronics.

Our company SGK International invested Rs. 10 L in this fund. In 2017 after much earlier correspondence we sent a legal notice through an advocate to Samir Gupta to which he replied denying all our allegations and saying that he will respond with more details in due course. Of course nothing further was heard from him after that. On behalf of my company I sent an online complaint to SEBI on 14th May 2018. I am prepared to share a copy of my complaint to SEBI with all other investors who have provided email addresses on this page. We should form an investors' forum or group to collectively approach SEBI and to ensure we at least get Samir Gupta what he deserves for defrauding us and also try to get whatever possible of our investment back.

My name is Sunir Khurana, Director in SGK International Pvt. Ltd. (investor company) and my email address is sunir.[protected]@sgk.co.in

I will shortly send out an email with copy of my complaint to SEBI. Any suggestions on how to proceed further will be most welcome.

Any updates? I also want to join the group to fight this.
I am an NRI and I have also invested Rs 20 lakhs in this fund. I got cheated first by Bank Manager (POONAM GURBAXANI) in ABN AMRO BANK in Delhi who sold me this fund with a big promise and told me it is a capital protected fund. Now after 8- 9 years i have got nothing. All the Bank employees and fund Managers have earned big money and left the investors with nothing. This is a serious fraud done by the Guptas and Mehra. we should collectively file a case of fraud against these managers before they leave the country.

Let us hire a good lawyer and file a case jointly. Then we can put pressure on the fund managers and hopefully they get some punishment. My email is [protected]@hotmail.com.
I too am an investor in this fund and am stuck with no visibility of recovery of my hard earned money. Pls count me in for any action we want to initiate to book the culprits and fund managers who are involved in this fraud. It would help if any of you updates me in the current state of complaint filed on behalf of investor's to SEBI or any other authority. Thanks

I have also invested Rs 10 lakhs in this fund. This was under the advice of "wealth manager" of ABN AMRO BANK in Mumbai who sold me this fund with a big promise and told me it is a capital protected fund.
further more there is no feed back from CCV, in spite of writing emails and calling them up.
I suggest we should have a e-mail group to keep us informed.

I hv also invested 10L thru ICICI in 2010 and got nothing till now. Pl update on what to be done. my mail id is [protected]@gmail.com.
As a senior citizen I feel duped by RBS who promoted this fradulent fund (CCVF) of Samir Gupta. For the last 10 years we have not recieved a single penny. It is so suprising that in such a regulated environment where investor interests are protected, SEBI failed to carry out any checks. That a SEBI approved fund can hoodwink poor investors of their hard earned money is a proof of how our regulators, even thow they have power enshrined through legisltive process, are toothless in the face o[censored]nscruplous fund promoters. Enquiries with CCVF are met with no response. I am heart broken. Please help me.

Recd letter they propose to extend further 3 years if they get 75 percent investors approval. In seven years they have eroded the nav to 74 pct and in October 2015 state if they wind up as per agreed contracted period nav could potentially be 70 to 90 pct lower. It is imperative investors in this fund immediately get connected to ensure effort to protect our money. This is totally against all the prospectus promses.
Hi, I m also an invertor in CCVF, you may please contact me at [protected]@yahoo.com.
hi I have also invested 20, 00, 000. We all have to do so fast. Because this company might going to be disappear because it's website also not working. Add my email [protected]@digindia.com.

                      Address: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

I had invested Rs 2, 50, 000/- (1st premium) in Cinema Capital Venture Fund Scheme 1 in 2008. Unfortunately I had not been able to pay the rest of the premiums ( total investment of 10 Lakhs) because of personal Financial problems caused by the 2008 stock market crash. I requested them to give me back the refund of the Rs 2, 50, 000/- which has been with Cinema Capital Fund for the past 6 years. But they give me the reply that since I did...
