We had booked one way ticket from Dubai to Pune via Delhi for the 20th of January 2024. On the day of traveling while we were on our way to Dubai International Airport we got a mail from Cleartrip saying that the flight has been delayed.
It was mentioned in the mail that we had an option to accept or cancel our tickets. As we had an emergency in the family we had to reach Pune on the same day, so we booked another flight. We had no intention to cancel our bookings with Cleartrip. But due to the delay in nthe schedule of the Dubai To Delhi flight it was not possible for us to take the connecting flight to Pune from Delhi.
After receiving a confirmation mail regarding regarding cancellation of the ticket from Cleartrip, some how we managed to book another ticket to reach Pune.
The mail sent by Cleartrip also stated that full refund will not be given, only part of the airfare will be refunded in 8 to 10 working days. Till today we have not received our refund. When contacted Cleartrip customer care one Mr Anikhet asked for all the mails sent by Cleartrip regarding the refund. The next day we received a mail from one Mr Ramesh from Cleartrip customer care, asking for the mails regarding refund again.
But still there is no progress.
Cleartrip is not been able to refund the money after giving a confirmation. I request the citizens of India to beware while booking tickets through Cleartrip...
Further we have requested the Aviation Minister to look into the matter and take appropriate action against such websites..who do not refund the ticket cost after giving a confirmation. Was this information helpful? |
