[Resolved]  Cognizant — onecognizantexternal. cognizant.com service unavailable

The onecognizantexternal. Cognizant.com is the portal which is handling pre-joining and on-boarding process for cognizant new employees who has been selected and got offer letter.

I yet to join in cognizant this month end (27/4/2020). I regularly checking the portal for details. Today (17/04/2020) suddenly this portal server is shown as 'service unavailable'.

My fear is weather it is temporary? If so when will it work again. It is no only my problem, so may people will face the same issue.

Main Issue for this complaint is, External Portal not working. Due to that we feel uncertainty of our job in which some of us relieved from current job. Now the portal is working and I also got updated date and offer letter for that date from the portal. So I'm closing this complaint as resolved. I pray god give good path for all who suffers. Thank you all.

Updated by Govindaraj Jayaratchagan Ya I got reply from HR that the issue will be sorted out more likely on April 30.
And after that joining date will be finalized.

And after that we will receive a updated offer letter with new date and we can proceed on that.

If i receive any other updates I will update here.

And I'm expecting same, If anybody have latest updates about this issue, Please Comment here

Updated by Govindaraj Jayaratchagan Now the portal is working. But my on-boarding pass not yet generated.

I mailed to my HR about it .

Let's hope for the best .

I got one information clearly from my HR . that is joining date will be extended till the portal is stable .

but when portal will stay up and stable . Not sure about that.

Updated by Govindaraj Jayaratchagan My HR told portal is may be up for testing. She does not get any information regarding this from their internal team. Once she got conformation then she will start processing .

Wednesday, April 22 to Sunday, May 31.

so we can expect June 1 on wards smooth on-boarding.

Hi all,

Cognizant defers onboarding of campus hires, freezes lateral hiring:

So, check your inbox and spam folder for any defer date of joining email.
Same issue any recent update on this, The portal was up on only may 6th after that its down

Better to switch another company / start trails for new job, almost it is more than 20+ days issue is going on.

I'm Experienced only, right now my last DOJ is 11 th may but now I not got any new DOJ .

waiting for the reply from hr.
I am an Experience candidate with DOJ by 1st June, still not able to complete the documents upload, HR is saying portal will be up soon, didnt receive any mail of deferment of DOJ, please let me whether its fresher or lateral hires receiving that mail .

I am experienced candidate only, Due to the portal issue I also received differed DOJ for 11th May .

But now I didn't have any revised offer letter . Let's see what will happen

I am experienced and got the deferment email from Cognizant with this subject "Deferment of Date of Joining - India" that they proposed new joining date 13th July due to Covid-19. As per moneycontrol.com, they freezes campus and lateral (experienced) hiring.

Yes i also faced same problem..
my joining date is may 4 due this server down i am unable to join..
I write so many email to respective HR recruiter but not getting proper response.

I called frequently but no luck immediately.., later they picked the call and explained about this issue to me(During that time of conversation they told the server down issue will happen up to May 15)..They told me, that they will make the offer with revised joining date once the portal gets UP..!

So don't Bother guys..!

I'm able to login, portal is working . But don't know about the joining date .not receiving any update from my HR.
@Govindaraj Please update here in case if you get any information regarding onboarding either from HR or from Portal.

Did you joined virtually ?
I have an offer letter from cognizant, I'm yet to upload my documents for verification but one cognizant portal shows error signing in though the password and verification code is right.
and one more thing is one cognizant portal down on Saturdays?
please do help and kindly look into it.
