[Resolved]  24 Ghanta News Channel — Complaint against 24 GHANTA News Channel

Hi All,

First of all I would like to introduce myself as a citizen of Kolkata (not a part of any political party), I firmly protest against a bengali news channel 24 GHANTA, who are not abiding any law of journalism and showing shameless election campaigns of ruler party CPM 24 hours. No other news channel is so shameless and bias on their political view. It is affecting our society's political view and thus it most of the times violating the environment by tempting reporters' words and news flash. Every hour, rather every minute they are showing all tempting news against opposition and try affect people's view on them. The owner of the channel, Zee Network being a leading organization, they should understand that this is not expected in a democratic country. You as a person, may have own political view but as a news channel, you can't show your prefered parties campaigns and represent news falsely to nail down your opposition..I request all viewers of that channel to stop viewing as I did to show my protest..we should request our government to cancel their broadcast rights for well being of the current situation of bengal..please please don't view that channel..It's an unofficial channel of CPM. (a news source says, they have got 24 hours broadcasting right to campaign about CPM as they are ruling West Bengal)

The channel 24 ghanta is a joint venture of Zee & Aakash Bangla which is CPI (M)'s electronic mouthpiece {three top brass of CPI (M) are on its board - the print mouthpiece being Ganashakti} but it is not a news channel...hence 24 ghanta was formed to act as the electronic (News) mouthpiece of CPI (M)...there is nothing wrong in it...you know what to see & what to avoid...I, of course, agree with your viewpoint regarding Zee - why they are subscribing to the CPI (M)'s views...

They are doing the opposite and same policy of Star Ananda, Kolkata TV and Channel 10. So if you want to Complain being Neutral then Complain against all so that they can show news Neutrally.

And the main attitude is that yesterday when Dinesh Trivedi said on 14 + projects on railway will work and the 100+ other Projects will not happen or Materialise some of these channel Projected that all the Projects given by EX- Rail minister will work.. Is this not a Nuisance and cheating with People...

I don't live in India and neither am I an Indian citizen, but I watch 24 Ghanta and other Bengali News Chanels regularly. My understanding is that 24 Ghanta is one bogus Chanel which is directly or indirectly owned by the CPM. Their news and comments are very ridiculously biased. Maybe people back in India are used to watching false stories and baseless accusations against the ruling party (Trinamool). To me this chanel is for the CPM whiners.

We are not viewing this channel properly. It is disturb maximum time in a day on our Airtel Digital TV. We have complained about this matter to Airtel Digital TV. But they do not step anything. We also deny to give engineers fee to them because all the channels are O.K. in Airtel digital TV. Please look after this situation.

i have called NANTU HAZRA, WHEN repeated GD to the new town PS is of no response, initially Diponkar of Barasat told me to contact Nantu, but he(Nantu) refused.Here I must mention i am regular audience of this channel, against that GD (one)I also gone to court, but they have given special importance to land measurement &so I can't continue it, however my earnest appeal to probe my matter at least if i am wrong
