Today I made a trip to crawford market and parked the vehicile (tourist taxi no. 347) at around 10.30am. After completing my shopping and returning to the car at around 2.15 pm, I was handed over a receipt Bearing no. 3427 MMM 07J164 with the time showing as 09.33 and the date overwritten in hand as 13/10/10 and asked to pay Rs. 250/= @ Rs. 50/hour as parking charges.
Upon protesting that the time was wrong and insinsisting on a receipt mentioning the amount paid, I was told by the attendant that they do not issue such a receipt. On further insistence for a receipt, he quickly wrote the amount on the right hand corner of the receipt.
Would you please look into this matter as to whether the above mentioned company is authorised to collect this money on Behalf of the MCGM Pay & Pak in "A" Ward which the receipt states. I think someone is making money unscruplously. Was this information helpful? |
