dear sir, i have purchased one apc inverter unit from m/s supra computers systems, vip road, dharampeth Nagpur 440010.model no. BI 800 I against invoice no. 0704091 dated 30.04. 2007.CASE HISTORY- at the time of purchase dealer convince me to by this model showing addl. features compare to other model. as the multi national i have to decided by APC so purchased the same.i have committed warranty for two years on both battery and main unit.problem started fron april 2008 when performance was not good. i have lodge a complaint no. C[protected] and on gt. 10/04/08 m/s smart microcare ( service centre nagpur ) chacked and came to know that inverter charging voltage is faulty and poor and the main unit replaced on 16/04/08 vide machine no. BB [protected] againt machine no. BB [protected]. later then problem was same. again service engg. visit and found batteries were not working and replaced the both batteries no. UPD 8136656 and UPD 8136667 against old batteries no. UPC7 181457 and UPC7 181399. some times it was working well but trouble started again and lodge complaint on dt. 16/01/09 vide complaint no. C[protected].service engg. visited on 22/01/09 and he again found batteries fault and no back-up. since there was no response.when i visited at service centre on 27/01/09 and discussed about the problem, he inform that co. has reduced warrantee period for 18 months fron 1st april 2007 and batteries can not be replaced. during the discussion came to know that this model was discontinued from 2006. and this unit consume more electricity due to heavy charging.since we believe on dealer and purchased the unit on good faith on dealer, i have been misguided by dealer and sold me dead stock of co. in this period i have paid heavy electricity bills due to the unit.request you to replace the unit alongwith batteries with another model and return me difference amount within 3 days to avoid legel action.waiting for your positive reply.thanking you

I too faced the same problem with my APC Inverter BI800 Model. I think inverter does not cut off battery charging. Please be update me also when ever you receive any response.
