[Resolved]  BATA-WEINBRENNER — WEINBRENNER Chappal

I had baught a "WINBRENNER" chappal from BATA showroom at Vashi, Mumbai.
It's cost was 1199 Rs. I was under the impression that I could use it for 2 years at least as the product is from BATA. But I am very much disappointed. Quality is not all good. All the stiching is gone and the upper part has come out completely. I gave it in the same shop for repairing and they got it stiched after 8 days. Again all the stiches gone within a week.Colour is faded and it looks too bad..cheap. ..and it has become too big...size got enlarged...

I wanted my cash back and they said it's not possible.

I regret for buying "BATA's" product and will never ever buy anything from BATA.
I have discussed with all my friends and other people and they all have got same opininon

WEINBRENNER ( SANDAL) — SOLE BREAK WITHIN A WEEK WEARN

After purchasing a sandals( DVEINBRENNER) for a high price of 709-/- (discounted price, actual price 899/-), It is really disheartening that the sandal has shown such a complaint that too i've worn it only once and it's not even a week. it's pasting has gone off and the right feet sandal sole has break and lost it's shape and it's just getting out of my feet while walking. And what's more disheartening is that when i went to the above showroom to lodge a complaint about the same, the sales guys and the manager started shouting at me and started quarrelling with me as if i've done some crime or as if i am a culprit. I was just dumbstruck. Even when they themselves know that the defective shoes haven't completed even a week and as i told them that i've worn it only once to office, they were not ready to accept my pleadings. I am very very disappointed with whatever is happening in the quality check department in Bata India and secondly the way the employees treat customers. This is really not done. I even told them that i want a new pair and even i am ready for a different model. I am even ready to shell out extra money for a better make and a model, but they kept my shoe saying that they will repair it and if not, they will try to replace it.. As of now, i've left it there but i am not at all ready to accept the same ones. It's clearly mentioned in the back side of cash memo itself, that Bata is liable to compensate me merit of 100 % of the amount within 15 days if the shoe is defective, but i can't understand why these people are arguing with me senselessly when the fault is clearly on their and bata's part.

I had been purchasing Bata shoes even from my school days and had always liked the brand. But now surprisingly I am forced to hate it, as i have started observing many complaints in this brand. I am worried about the quality concept being lost at Bata.

I have purchased Bata sandals on 27th November 2008 from the company operated showroom at Sampagi road, Malleshwaram, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. I do not expect sandals from Bata to only hold good for a year or two as the same guarantee can be given by a unauthorized roadside vendor. I expect more from bata, to take care of the customers. As i've been using the northstar and bata brand since my school days and even now i have 2 pair of more then 6 years old bata mocassino brand with me with no defects. I wish to expect the same assurance and the same quality from Bata in future too. I am extremely conscious about the quality of a product and customer satisfaction, as we take utmost care to retain our customers in my organization, where i work. I would expect a similar role from Bata India limited too.

I would like to know from BATA how they are going to treat my complaint. The way they are to respond to my complaint would reflect their faith on the Quality system and Customer satisfaction.

bata chappal — broken of lather

iam purchased a bata lather chapal from authorized dealer khatipura road, jhotwara, jaipur but chapal lather broken after one day of purchased and i go to shop for replacement chapal but the owner behavior was very bad and not replacement my chapal

I am also having a very bad experience with WEINBRENNER shoe I bought from Bata, Chennai just five months back. sole of the shoe is broke making it unusable and beyond repair.
its a complete waste.
there should be some sort of quality control so that a shoe lasts at least a year.
I have similar experience with Bata Chappals. I am NEVER going to buy from BATA again.

I bought a weinbrenner shoe from bata a year back. And believe it or not I have been using it for jogging for the last 2 months. Total km would be some thing like 2 x 25 x 4= 200kms. I have been using it for regular use also. My only complaint is that the inner sole was a little hard, with almost no cushion. I made an inner sole from my old shoe and pasted it on top of the new shoes sole. And I have had no problems with it at all. Wish they also offered the shoe in boots shape.
and one more thing to add. Wish they showed the selection in their website.

Guys, here is my take on this: Depending on the lot and the probabilities, a few pieces might come out to the market faulty or of sub-quality standards. Most companies maintain a tolerance level of one in thousands, that is <0.1%. So if someone is the unlucky person who got that, say 1 in 2000 boots, that is, his/her bad luck (for want of better word!). In my opinion, what really matters is the customer service. If the company is willing to replace that shoe or repair it to customer's satisfaction, nothing like it!

No one can do away with a small % of faulty pieces, but getting good customer service is priceless. Look at the effort Bata is making in locating customer complaints and PROACTIVELY contacting customers to solve those. Makes me a fan of Bata, yet again!

Mr. Santhosh I feel bad that you got that defective piece. And I am sure you'd appreciate Bata reps contacting you. Kindly post a follow up in the comments here for our benefit. Thanks for creating this thread to discuss Bata.
I am from hyderabad basically i prefer bata but they are selling some weinbreener shoes its waste of my money on shoes its losing sole of the shoe its worest i every shoe in my life and they couldnot be stitched that the of position of shoes. I am NEVER going to buy from BATA again.

Hi.. i too frm hyd.. i bought with Rs. 1300/- bata-weinbrenner cheppal jst 15 days back.. its waste of my money.. the colur is shadded. its not looking good also now. So don't purchage these cheppal.. My money is wasted.. >:o
I am from Pune... I bought WeinBurner shoes 15 days back for 1700/- and within two days usage it started falling apart.. WeinBurner is well known US brand and I was expecting same quality in India. Now, I think they are sending rejected pairs to India :-(

My suggestion is do not purchase this brand... It's horrible and shame on a brand. Pathetic part is I can not get a refund as well and have to choose something else...

Chappal — Got turned off with 1 month of purchase

i have bought pair of chappals from Palakkad showroom which got torned withn one month of purchase which cost rs1955/-.Its very disgusting to inform you that your product doesnt have minimum quality for its cost.
we select woodland for its brand name nothing else we look for.The reputed brand will keep atleast quality standards & we never look for cost.but my experience this time looks like a breach of trust under the brand name.

WEINBRENNER CHAPPALS — breakage of chappals

BOTH THE PAIR OF CHAPPALS OF WEINBRENER HAVE BEEN DAMAGED BEFORE THE WARRANTY PERIOD,AND IT IS UNWEARABLE.

These shoes can not be used for hiking. Mine did not even last long for 5 months. The shoe sole actually broke. I could insert a finger through the sole. I bought my shoes for 2100/-. I can hardly believe that a shoe sole can break within a matter of 5 months. Please do not buy these products.

This is Gurunath A. I am from Pune. I had bought BATA WEINBRENNER shoes back in Sept 2012. I thought that the shoes will atleast go for 1+ year. I even checked for the WEINBRENNER brand before buying these. WEINBRENNER is well known US brand and I was expecting same quality in India. But, my shoe sole broke in first few months. When I showed it to the BATA shop (Baner, Pune) the person
replaced the new shoes and told me that I could get these because it was in first 2 months of the warranty. But, also told me that, I can not get replacement if the new shoe sole breaks.

But, the new shoes which he gave me in Feb 2012, even those shoes sole broke in 2-3 months and now I am very disappointed. The minimum expectation from a shoe manufacturer to make the shoe sole robust. Wear and Tear against the actual sole breakage is a horrible thing. Now, when I checked online only this specific model is not available on BATA's site.

There must have been the case where BATA is receving so many complaints about these shoe quality that they have removed the product fromt he market as well.

I swear this is 100% honest. Bought Weinbrenner friom BATA Singapore hiking shoes. Went Japan. 3 of my toenails broke, it was so badly made that the hard canvas on the middle of the shoe hit the middle of my feet pressing in each time I walk it had bruises and badly injuring my feet. Not to mention my last toe bad it's skin dried from the bad material it almost came off. To be frank both my feet was rotting by end of my 2 weeks vacation to Japan. Shoe was the right size but it was so very badly made, I have sworn off BATA for life. Very very very badly designed/made. Wasn't cheap too.
