there is nothing like this . i'm still studying in this school for the past 12 yrs &the teaching is aewsome.

You are right ...this schook was once the best now the Pricipal became too greedy and he is all out to make some easy money from gulliable parents

what the hell r u talkin about.. bethany high skol rocks... the faculty is amazin, they r so good at what they do... they have sports... lots of it.. football, volleyball, handball... 1st get some info and then spread rumors like this. I love this school !! our skol had 1 of the best football teams in bangalore...

Yes you are absolutely right! They are doing business on the name of education. They dont think even anyone can afford it or not. They want money money only money. They are all businessmans not a teachers. Simply SHAME ON THEM!!!

Lisa, Rajkumar, How do you come to these conclusions? Just because you don not like the principal and the fees, you can write anything you wish in a public forum? Where is the data? Considering the education scenario in Bangalore, which is cut-throat business and fluff, I think Bethany is doing a wonderful job. At least clear, what they do and stand for. Fees, Yes it is comparative, not sure what is your benchmark. We have our kids in Bethany and didn't find much of an issue with this School. I feel you have some personal issues with the Principal. Other than fees and Principal, I don't think you are making any important point here. You need to be a bit more specific before you splurt these things out in a public forum. By the way, which school, did you finally put your kids in? (I know it is a personal question, but it will clarify a lot of things)

I completely disagree...from where has this fee amount been taken? The fees are not so high. The fees are competitive with other decent schools charging similar amounts. I'm also very happy with the way kids are treated in the school & the courtesy with which the staff talks to parents as against the attitude the staff throws at the parents at Bishop Cottons, where my son goes I guess u have some personal issue which doesnt need to amount to bad mouthing the school!!!

In response to your comments, I have had no problems so far with Behany. The fees you are talking about are quite reasonable as compared to other schools and the institution has to charge that kind of fees to retain the teaching faculty. Why do so freely condemn both teh teaching and the fee structure when the two are quite linked. I do not think they ask for any more money than needed for the activities.
I think your complaints are baseless.

Past students like the school. So do existing older students. But that is the same for any school. Its however a fact that the reputation has really gone down over the last 3 years. The money asked for is significant. But the value is not there. Sad if this turns out to be an average place for people who are ok giving an average education to their kids. I would have been a lot happier if the principal had lived up to expectations.

I consider myself as one of the fortunate parent to get admission in Bethany school. My daughter joined last year in Nursery & currently she is in Junior 1(UKG) at Bethany Junior school . We found the teaching methods adopted by teachers is very very good, especially with respect to overall child development, knowledge enhancement & Skill sets development like Pronunciation /phonetics / vocab, etc . My 5 year old daughter is also to read 6 to 10 letter words without any help ..Learning new words is like a new game for her !!!

Another highlight is that class teacher's cover 100% of syllabus in class itself & don't delegate the work to parents at home . However, every kid is given a practice book which parents can use for practice or revision. Most of the teaching staff is well experienced & very sincere towards the work.

Extra curricular activities like story telling, drawing, painting, sports, fancy dress, Rhyme time, handwriting competetion etc are frequently organised by school & the best part is that all children get a opportunity to participate in class and perform on stage, functions etc .

Pre-Primary Dept HOD / Principal personally does random checks on the children's progress & shares her personal suggestions ...Being a private school, The fees, etc is expected to be slightly higher than other less reputed schools . However its still very nominal compared to many other schools.

I feel Bethany Pre-Primary is the best school that any parent can look for ( as far as our experiences are considered ) !!

I completely agree with what Lisa has to say. The principal's main motive is to make money. We tried for two consecutive years to get admission in the school. The principal claims that he does not entertain any recommendation or influence etc. But the main criteria for getting into the school is money. If have a few lakhs to give to the school you are sure to get a seat for your child. MONEY DOES THE TRICK

Bethany School is surely one of "The Best " schools which children can look forward for . I completely agree with views mentioned above by our other friends ... very few schools gives parents accesbility

My son goes to Bethany Professional Care (Pre nursery section) the teachers over there are quite friendly, and any time I had a concern I was able to reach out to the HOD over there. they would regularly hold Parents Teachers Meet, and instead of just giving the positive and negative feedback they would discuss the concerns of the parents about their child, I even saw that they monitor a child to such an extent that they acutually tell you if your child has more analytical skills or motoring skills... what tiffin he likes what he don't like... It is not like they are there to make money and let your child go to hell .
If the child is absent for more than 3 days I have seen them giving a call and asking if the child is fine..
So my short experience with Bethany Profession Care it it is quite good .. in fact much better than some of the good schools in Bangalore.

I am not sure what you are talking about? What school did you go to, by the way? What are you comparing Bethany High with? Because in India, Bethany is as good as it gets. The school is located in Koramangala, an Ideal location, safe and easily accessible for the Students.

I studied there over 10 years ago… the school gave me excellent education in every respect. They focus on all the aspects of grooming the students. They have plenty of Co-curricular activities that students can take part in each year. To name a few, there’s the Schools Sports teams (Soccer, Throw Ball, Basket Ball, Cricket), School Choir, Marching Band, Elocution team, Quiz and Debate team etc. The academic results are also excellent every year. I was part of the Band, Choir, Soccer, and debate team. I did well in my studies and got a good job once I finished my degree. The school gave me a platform to launch myself. I am successful by any standard and a lot of the credit goes to the School. Of course I went further and got international degrees done but the foundation was based on the good schooling I received at Bethany High.

You sound like some bitter, negative, and narrow minded parent. If you are not willing to fork out even that small amount, you should be ashamed of yourself and you are bound to ruin your kids. Maybe you should move them to the Reddy Janna Sanga School just down the road and we’ll see where you kids end up 10 years from now. Parents like you never understand what education is all about. You have narrow constricted vision and only want to whine about every penny you spend. I almost feel sorry for your kids.. It must be difficult living with someone like you. The most important question you have to ask yourself is, are your children’s education not worth more than that small amount you are griping about?

Being an ex Bethanite, i totally disagree. After 6 years, now i'm placed at one of the top companies in the world. The quality of education has always been excellent.I myself have taken part in elocutions and quizes, witnessed numerous matches in every sport. The fee structure you've put across has been overly exaggerated. Those figures just can't be right!!

I disagree with your opinion. My daughter studies in Bethany High School and we are very happy with the standard of education, the all round development provided to the children by the school and the atmosphere in the school itself. The way the media has blown things out of proportion is very unfortunate. And the fees is not as high as you make out to be. Its on par with the other private schools in the city. And what do you mean that there is no sporting activity and extra curricular activity? Are you talking about the same school as we are??? This school gives equal importance to studies, arts, music as well as sports. My daughter is very happy being a bethanite and was most upset to see the way the name of her school is being slaughtered by insensitive people. Hope things clear up soon.

HE ALSO LIED WITH A STRAIGHT FACE STATING THAT CHILDREN OF WATCH MAN, COOLIES, AUTO DRIVERS, LABORERS ETC ETC ARE GIVEN ADMISSION AND STUDYING IN THE SCHOOL, IN MY FOUR YEARS AS TEACHER I DID NOT SEE A SINGLE KID OF THIS CATEGORY . HE ALSO MENTIONED 75 CHILDREN STUDYING IS SPECIAL SCHOOL, WHAT WE ALL DON’T KNOW IS THESE STUDENTS FAMILY HAS TO PAY THROUGH THEIR NOSE.

Being a ex teacher I feel ashamed that a Principal can stoop so low to lie blatantly to cover his mistakes and actions
