Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Palika — Removing of Cows near Temples, etc.

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

TO,
THE COMPLAINT RESOULUTION CELL,
BRIHANMUMBAI MAHANAGAR PALIKA,

Why cow caretakers standing with their cows besides temples & public places are removed therefrom during the past few days or the BMC. Van comes & drives them away in the suburbs of mumbai ?
All cow caretakers where they sit regularly, keep their premises clean.

Numerous people , go to any part of India, in fact , feed the cows on daily, weekly basis or as it suits them. One cannot go to the cow tabela all the time, which may be any distance from his/her home; naturally one will go to the nearest temple or other public place to feed the cows. Do u know that at our homes, we keep aside food prepared daily for the cows, before we eat. This is a common practice , especially in villages & small towns. We are Indians, so do not try to kill our basics of life.
Progress is essential for any country, but on the right path, for the right things & in the right manner.

Then why do the BMC people want to harass the common man ?????

IF the BMC want to improve the Mumbai city, then lots of other important issues need to be addressed, instead of harassing people & wasting time behind such unnecessary things. If I state a few of them, these are :-

1) Stop unplanned construction of high-rised buildings, which kills nature, leaving no land spaces in the city; creating congestion, & putting pressure on city's available infrastructure as water, electricity, etc. Instead try to develop & provide all kinds of basic infrastructure in areas surrounding Mumbai, including jobs too. Because, if no companies will open their units or offices outside mumbai, in other areas, there would be no employment opportunities, so no earnings, so people will obviously migrate & try to settle within Mumbai.

2) Stop wastage of water , occuring frequently due to breakage or leakage of water pipelines in the city , especially near slums.

3) Try to reduce slums in & around railway tracks, as people staying in many such slums are from outside states. Also, they are dirty & menace to the society.

I read with interest a news item appearing in print media stating that the Commissioner, Brihanmumbai Municipal
Corporation is planning to use treated sewage water to wash the Mumbai streets/lanes. It is told that this practice
was in vogue years back but somehow discontinued. Same is the case in Kolkata also. Years back, they used to
wash the main roads with the Holy Ganga water which I have seen myself. The problem is if the sewage water is not
properly treated, there may be odor problem and there will be public outcry and they will stop washing instead of
addressing the problem. I have a suggestion to make. A bio-product BIOMAGIC available in Chennai/Bangalore
effectively stops bad odor from sewage and turns it reusable for gardening, golf course watering, etc.It is in use in
many housing societies where STPs are defective or defunct. If it is applied in the sewage that will be used for
washing Mumbai streets, there will be no odor problem and the public will admire the Corporation's efforts.
More info. on BIOMAGIC can be had direct from [protected]@gmail.com
