Dear Sir,
I have participated in an online contest of British Telecom(see below as reference) and subsequently I received a mail from British Telecom that I have been awarded with a prize money of £500, 000.00 (bristish pound) on the basis of random selection to encourage people from third world countries. Thereafter, I have received three mails the first one being written on a plain papaer asking me to provide them my name telephone no. etc, the second one was particulars of the bank account so that money could be transfered throgh Ecs system and there was another option of course money transfer throgh union. After passing on the information as per their requirement, I received another mail which is given below asking me therein to contact a lawyer or at the respective address to get an affidavit done from British High Court in respect of my prize money claim to be released by the bank and make it legal.
I think I should contact you to verify the authenticity and legality of the claim before I communicate with British Telecom on the matter.
My other query is the genuineness of the mail and award.
