[Resolved]  Chord Road Hospital, Bangalore — EXCESS AMOUNT CHARGED

This is with regard to the hospitalization of my wife Soumya. R, Registration No. 2600/09 between 22.07.2009 and 27.07.2009 for her delivery. I want to bring to your notice the following:

I was forced to take the semi-private ward. It should be at our discretion to choose what we want and not be thrusted choices.

Many medications were prescribed out of which many were not used. After further notice, I realized that the Drug House charged wrong amount. For a mere Rs. 65.00 (Chymoral Plus-10 tablets), they charged me Rs.189.00. Only after bringing it to their notice, they reimbursed to me. This was only one, which I noticed. What if all other medicines were charged falsely?

Under Pads were used unnecessarily. Clean ones were replaced without any meaning and we had to pay the price for it. Why should we for no reason to pay so much?

Dr. Vasanthi, promised me that the whole procedure would be over within Rs. 22, 000.00 but I have paid Rs.35, 000.00 for treatment and Rs.10, 000.00 for Medicines, almost double the cost!. I am very disappointed with Dr. Vasanthi too.

One Doctor named Dr. Veena Baindur apparently came to visit my wife but we were totally unaware of this and were charged Rs.2500.00 (Charges for Assistant ). When we had our consultant already coming, where is the need for an assistant & why should I pay for her?

Regarding NST Charges, to check heartbeat of Baby, Dr. Vasanthi clearly instructed your nurses that let the instrument run for one or two hours, but the instrument was running continuously and you have charged very expensive. She revealed that this process is not required for more than two hours and you have charged unreasonably.

We do not understand the Baby nursing charges and Baby care charges.

The Baby set and blanket charges were totally a waste. We never asked for it and that another waste of Rs. 600.00. You should inform us about everything and not take decisions on your own. The money we give you does not come easy and you are unduly making use our naiveté.

While getting the discharge summary, there were several errors. The Consultant signature was not there & her name itself was wrong. I wasted my time to rectify the mistakes. Every other Hospital makes arrangements for the Birth Certificate while here I was asked to go myself to Corporation to get the same. Is it not your duty to give it since you have charged very expensive for the treatment?

There must be some respect for people’s time and money. Only because of the good name the Hospital has, we chose to come here. But after this bad experience, what is the use of having such a name for the Hospital?

Dr. Vasanthi also revealed that, she did not get the amount that has printed on our final Bill. Who is to blame for this? If Doctors are not treated properly, will we be treated well by these Doctors?

Making use of those who come seeking for service are let down very badly. It is a shame on your part to treat consumers badly.

Please look into the matter and see to it that others in the Hospital and those to come are not treated like this and cheated this way.

I completely agree with the points mentioned by Ravi.

Staff at the Insurance counter are very rude and they think they are giving service free of cost.. Are we getting for what we are paying from them...

Staff in Insurance counter are not fit for that job...
I too agree with above complaints the medicines and treatment both for money only not for cure, unnecessary pads, pills, tubes, gloves, they r charging very high and they bought BMW car from that money.
I too noticed when i admitted they took 7.8 lac inr for burnt patient for treatment but the patient is dead even they knew that before the treatment, unnecessarily they placed him in ICU ward for more than 1 month.
for simple admit they will charge upto 50k
I stay very close to Chord Road Hospital, I often pass through that road, They had a small hospital few years before, Now they have bought adjacent property and extended.
Surely, their Consultation fees is very high and they are medical bandits. They think they are super-specialty hospital for their horrible services.

Such, hospitals must be barred,
Maybe some one will burn it down, If this looting continues...
good one every citizen has to know whats happening in and around. Some one has to get into media to stop all this [censored]s sone by hospitls

Bangalore Traffic Corporation — charged excess penalty

One of my firiend has parked in a No parking Zone and was asked to pay excess fare. When he refused to pay , he was threatened to put many fake charges on him. Finally he budged to pay the money. This is really a shameful act by the Bangalore Traffic Police.
I am in the queue to post my experience, wait and watch...
Yes i do agree with the above mentioned complaints. I have not received proper response from the Insurance department. When i escalated this issue with the admin he ignored my complaint and did not take necessary action on time.
I think government has to be take these feedback seriously and have to do the needful for not getting proper services from the hospital.
