[Resolved]  CMWSSB Chennai — Urgent repair to the sewage and DW lines

Zone 9, Ward 138, CMWSSB
The colony does not have a SWD line till now . Chennai Corporation started the job on 22nd October 2009 with a JCB operation. During this operation Phone and TNEB utility lines were damaged besides the sewage and DW lines of CMWSSB. Phone and electrical repairs were completed on 23rd itself on top priority. CMWSSB action is yet to be taken up.
The damage to the Sewage and Drinking Water lines which took place only at House No 5 need urgent rectification. The entire dug out pit is filled with sewage and leaking DW. Unless the pit is cleared work cannot continue for SWD civil work installation
Action needs to be taken by CMWSSB VERY URGENTLY for:
a) removal of overflowing sewage and drinking water to give time for drying up .
b) repair of both the sewage and DW lines before House No 5 has to be done urgently..
c) There is already the danger of sewage mixing heavily with drinking water , becoming a more serious problem..
SO we request CMWSSB to take urgent action and KINDLY HELP COC TO COMPLETE THE SWD JOB BEFORE MONSOONS START . THE WHOLE LANE IS DUG UP VERY BADLY and needs YOUR URGENT ACTION.

Dear Sir,
I would like to bring to ur kind notice that we have a Godown @ No.21, Thatha muthiappan St., Chennai which falls under Zone 29&30. The Sewerge water is overflowing since 3 days and I have lodged the complaint immediately to the concerned Zone and recorded the complaint in the register maintained by the them. I also spoke to the concerned AE (mobile no.[protected]) by going to their office in person and I found no response since then and because of which the total work at my Godown paralysed. I hope you'll take necessary steps to see that complaint is attended to immediately and restore normalcy in our working place and oblige.

would like to bring to the notice of the CMWSSB - of stagnant drainage water in the empty plot between Hotel regent and Appaswamy Triumph apartments - this is an eyesore for the residents and alos becoming a good breeding ground for mosquitoes - we suspect that drainage / sewage water is being discretely pumped out intro the empty plot by the hotel Radha regent authorities

Would request the concerned authorities to take immediate actions - else cases of dengue / malaria etc will be on the rise

Dear Sir,
My name is Mahesh Kunjithapadam and i reside at no 118(old no 80) Mount roadsituated behind Zen Garden Hotel and approach through Canara Bank Guindy service road.
Opposite to my House wherein i reside with my family and aged parents there is situated a Multistoreyed buiding housing Zen Garden Hotel(Country Club) and one wing of offices like Airfreight LimitedAFL, News today, Malai Malar and Congruent technologies. There are about 300 employees at any given time.As we are below sewer level only septic tanks are used and cleaned.Unfortunately this building has a septic tank which is below required levels and often the sewage gushes out and flows to my home and their neighbours.
Requesting them to build an additional septic tank kindly several times has been futile.I am put into extreme hardship and unnecessary health hazards.
My personal requests to the concerned Area engineer has been of no use.I have also earlier written to them and copied to the Mayor too.
I pay my taxes regularly even though there is absolutely no water supply and drainage facilities though we are at the entrance of Chennai City.
Kindly before making any legal complaint i humbly request that action may be taken and they build sufficient septic tank to the standards.
I will wait for another fortnight for a reply and action otherwise i am sorry that i have no other go then sorting legal assistance.

Pipleline damage and overflow
Dear sir,
In our society i.e. NEW CIVIL LINES , VINAYAKPUR ,BEHIND GURUDEV PALACE, Kanpur.
in our area, pipeline is broken broken from last 8-9 months, all roads are filled wid water due to sewage damage and environment is so unhygienic making difficult for us move on road. some people have also closed drain or trough. This act of theirs have worsened the condition of the locality.
I kindly request you to take a quick step against this problem, our society will be highly obliged.

dear sir,
i live in annanagar r block 67 .i had made a complaint regarding drinking water contamination two weeks back and the authorities did come and inspect and asked us to clean our sump but even after cleaning the water stinks of sewage.
this morning we complained of our sewage mains being blocked and the workers came and inspected and demanded rs 600 to clean the inside chambers. but when i asked them about the mains being blocked the replied that it is there every where . when the mains are blocked how will the waste from inside flow outside. the kitchen sink stinks because of the block. i request the authorities concerned to take up the matter immediately to avoid spread of epidemics. please check the mains for any leak since our water stinks of sewage.

Sewage block on varadarajulu street (santhoshnagar, near Dasaprakash), egmore resulting in complete flooding of street by sewerage block, made worse by rains. this has been increased considerably by Chennai Metrorail who have occupied half the street & apparently they have blocked sewerage lines in their digging efforts for their project. this has become a daily affair & no respite inspite of complaining to concerned corporation authorities. An early resolution of the problem will be appreciated.

The sewage water has been continuosly flowing out of a house and is stagnant on the end of the road just opposite to my house for almost 5 days. Being a resident in no.29 elango nagar first street, we are the worst sufferers. It is an health hazard to us. So I request to kindly give the due priority and give us a solution.

It is an health hazard to us. So I request to kindly give the due priority and give us a solution. Here, in our campus there are totally 3 companies running and lot of people residing inside. Kindly take necessary steps soon.

I am a resident of Ramnagar third street, Vijaynagar IN VELACHERY. There is a perennial problem of Metro water and sewage water stagnation in the area. Repeated complaints to the office by the association and personally residents going and lodging complaints have been a waste. Nobody is bothered to attend to our complaint. The sewage water is stagnate inside the premises of the houses and is also overflowing on to the streets on the main bypass road in velachery which is causing lots of health problems and also breeding ground for mosquitoes. Metro water does not come to the area on everyday basis . When asked it was told there is a blokage in the pipe and the work is getting attended but it has been more than three months the work has not been attended and the problem has not solved . With the two major issues in the area it is becoming impossible for people to stay at peace.
I request the concerned officials to please attend to it and solve both the sewage and metro water issues as early as possible
