I,RAVINDRA NAIK.V, an employee of CORPORATION BANK, had taken a mediclaim policy from NEW INDIA ASSURANCE COMPANY LTD,with policy number[protected]Mediclaim card number BLR-NI-CB[protected]B).
My wife ANUPAMA NAIK.R,had undergone hysterectomy operation on 29th April 2011 at ERODE,in a non-network hospital.I had incurred a sum of Rs.28259/-.The claim form along with relevant bills,prescriptions and reports were sent to your office on 24th May 2011,which was received at your end on 26thy May 2011,as per the register AD card.On enquiry with your TPA,TTK HEALTHCARE SERVICES PRIVATE LTD,they informed me,furnished information were sufficient,and I will hear from them within 21 days.As I didn't receive any communication from TTK even after 20th June,I was forced to call them and ask about my claim status.I was told,that a letter was sent to me by courier,demanding the original USG scan report.Till date,I have not received this letter.As per the telephonic conversation,the scan report was sent to them on 22nd June,through Professional Couriers,and delivered to TTK on 24th June,as per the POD.
When I contacted TTK HEALTHCARE SERVICES PRIVATE LTD on 26th June,they informed me, that 7 working days are required to process the claim.On 4th July,when I called them,I was informed,that my claim was still under process,and a sum of Rs 27450/- will be issued as a cheque from NEW INDIA ASSURANCE COMPANY LTD,after 7 days..Later,I learnt from your company's local office at CALICUT,that,the cheque will be issued by TTK,and not by NEW INDIA ASSURANCE COMPANY LTD.
I had taken a loan from CORPORATION BANK,to pay for the operation expenses under the impression,that the claim will be settled within a reasonable time..But,to my dismay,it has been more than 44 days since my claimform reached your office,as on today.So I wish to bring to your kind notice-:
1)Your company's TPA ,TTK HEALTHCARE SERVICES PRIVATE LTD is misguiding your customers furnishing wrong information.
2)Inspite of having my mobile as well as landline numbers,on the covering letter,they have not contacted me regarding my claim status.
3)When the cheque is issued by TTK themselves,they misguided me,that it will be drawn by NEW INDIA.
4)I am paying interest @12% on the loan amount.Now,I am compelled to claim interest on the delayed period over 21 days.
