[Resolved]  Creative Synergy Group — Pirated License Usage - Catia V5

Address: Bangalore, Karnataka

Last week NASSCOM conducted raid in premises of Creative Synergy Group (CSG) - http://global-csg.com/ , company formed by Ex-Quantech group. They found more than 50 licenses of Catia V5 all illegal, pirated!!!

It was found that this company used these licenses for project deliveries and even a US based customer has filed a complaint through one of the distributor. Based on the tip-off, the vendor company approached NASSCOM (http://www.nasscom.org/), a controlling authority of Indian government conducted audit in CSG office in Bangalore. Apparently this office was set near whitefield, Hospet area recently. The IT audit revealed number of illegal licenses such as Catia V5, Hypermesh, Windows OS etc..Most of these tools are very exclusive in Mechanical CAD/CAM/CAE industry and are developed over years of research by ISVs.

What a shocking news.....

It is also learnt that the penalty levied is to the tune of 50 million Indian rupees (5 crores).

Absolute Nonsense...I feel someone from Wipro / Geometric has posted this. I guess they are not able to digest the fact that a 5 month old company can do what these two coluld not achieve for 5 years.
Company is talking to lawyer for taking necessary legal action in spreading malicious rumours about CSG, the case will be filed in cyber crime branch of Bangalore to take necessary action. NASSCOM is also informed about this issue and they are also helping in this investigation.
