[Resolved] dhingra medicos — more medicine being sold than prescribed | |||
this is regarding a local pharmacist in amar colony, Lajpat Nagar-4, New Delhi, Dhingra Pharmacist, who refused to give me medicine if i did not buy the entire strip of 10 even though the doctor has prescribed only for 5 days. each tablet costs 17 Rupees. apart from the cost, being a science student, i understand the implications of addition of chemical load in the food chain as the remaining tablets will find their way in the dustbin and would not be disposed off properly. this always happens when antibiotics are prescribed for 3 tablets/day for 3 days and most practitioners sell 10 tablets. i faced a similar problem in Bangalore today where the Pharmacist refused to provide me with the prescribed medicine for the exact number of days. He wanted me to buy the compete strip as it is a slow moving medicine as per him. This is ridiculous and i want to know the procedure on how to complaint against such unethical and corrupt pharmacists. think of people who cannot afford and still needs the medicine.
