[Resolved]  Dolphin Gas Systems Pvt Ltd — Charging more

I was earlier using LPG through cylinder and my consumption was a cylinder in three months.Now I am using Piped gas and in one month its bill is 1500.Dolphin is charging Rs56.40/cu.m of gas.

Piped Gas rate is the same as that the Government charges for Subsidised domestic LPGas. The small additional service charge of RS. 35 per flat per month is applied. RS. 1500 must have been charged to you in your first Bill since inception.
Our experience with Dolphin Gas is excellent.
My experience with them is bad. They will put dummy readings for monthly billing without reading the meters then when the gas prices are increased by govt, the person will come to take correct reading, so as to charge as per the new rates any protest to this will be met by an indifference or very uncivilized reply.
We have not received the Gas bill from last 8 months from Dolphin. We called several times and there is no one taking any action on it. Someday they will come with a hugh amount. Nobody ever came to take the readings.
M/s Dolphin Gas System are using Kitec Pipes which are not recommended. High probability of leakages after 4-5 years due to use of Rubber seals also thread strength is getting lost after disconnection. You have to form new threads in such joints.
Also HPCL is not recommending Kitec pipe but they are not telling officially as there is no such standard which specifies clearly.
Overall said agency is not transperent in Maintenance work details ( taking heavy charges from consumer) & service charges ( 45Rs/ Month).

Service charges should be consider as 7-10% of monthly bill amount. In this also HPCL can not help as there is no guideline for charges. Service provider is free to demand service charges as per their wish.

HPCL needs to evalute all this system alongwith service provider.

I am very dissatisfied with the services offered by Dolphin gas

1. When the gas company increased charges, Dolphin gas had disconnected the service without prior intimation to customers. It was very unethical and unprofessional behavior against customer.
2. I have not used you services after increased meter charges but you executive had charged the previous bill with new meter changes inspite of the explaing the same several times.
3. When the customer didn't use you service what is the purpose of putting service charge of 45 rupees event month. This way you are forcing customer to use you gas only inspite of higher charges.

I am staying in Madhupushpa Society of Wakad and We are facing frequent disconnection of Gas Service.

When I ask their representative, what actions they are taking towards it? He is relplying that many of the people in your appartment did not pay their bill and they do not have money to continue by providing gas and cylinder. I am surprised. Does government put you behind bars if your neighbor dont pay their taxes?

Moreover, once service discontinues, account manager stops pickup up any phone calls like he is showering his mercy on us by providing gas connection.

Even though, charges are very very high, we continue the gas service and then also, we face terribly bad service. I need a response from Dolphin Gas Systems on this as I am surprised to notice this kind of apathy in this age.
I stay in Wakad Island Society.Dolphin collection agent came to my house and took cash instead of cheque. But When I checked next month bill found that last month bill was not paid. When I contacted that guy he is not ready to respond. Same response I received from their office ([protected]). I've no idea whom to escalate such issue.
I am staying at RK Spectra Bavdhan. Even though I heard bad reviews about Dolphin, I wanted to get Piped gas connection from Dolphin as I am not having any cylinder gas connection. First thing was No one picked up Dolphin office phone for 2 days ... though I tried in office hours. Somehow I got contact number of one of the service boy, he said he will ask someone to pickup office phone .. that also didn't work out for 1 or 2 days ... Later he gave me mobile number of lady from office who is in charge of new connection, tried on that number but again no luck ... Finally called Society care taker and he gave me another person(another service boy) contact number then in weeks time I got connection.
Service boy charged me 300rs for elbow pipe he used while connection and he used old elbow pipe, On asking him about that ... he argued that its new one ... and even didn't give me any bill for that!
Pathetic Service

I had applied for a piped gas connection from Dolphin as I had not made a provision for cylinder gas in my kitchen. The installation guy took Rs. 1500 (for extension copper pipe) + 200 as service charge, in the month of Sep 2016. Post the installation of gas pipe I called up Ms. Swati ([protected]) from Dolphin gas to inquire about the gas connection start date. She assured me that the gas connection will start before 30 Sep 3016 (2 days before my house warming date). When I contacted her again on 1 Oct 2016, she said that the due to some pending Fire approval the connection will be delayed.

Thereafter, on 10 Oct 2016 I contacted Ms. Swati again to check on the status. She confirmed that the fire approval has been obtained and they will be putting up a notice in the building for the connection. When even after two days the notice was not put up, I contacted her again, to which she said that the person had already gone to our society to put up the notice. On the next day when I saw that there was no notice, I call Ms. Swati again. This time Mr. Nagesh Picked up my call and assured me that the connection would start before Diwali.

Today, one day past Diwali my gas connection has still not activated and nobody is picking up my call
