not only they do that...they take a long time to give us our graduation certificate.its one year since i have completed my nursing and still today i dont know when convocation is going to be held.i still havent received my diploma so i cant go on with my processing for NCLEX examinations..its like im on a hold and wasting one year...
not only that after they plan first of all to issue our graduation certificates we have register in the nursing council in chennai to receive our registration numbers alone will take another 2 to 3 months...well my juniors have completed their final year and their results are published and still im waiting for convocation...the university still has not settled on a date to conduct the convocation cermony
The m.g.r medical university initially announces the 19thconvocation has been held in the month of may last week or june first week, next they announces the modification of the date which was june first week or september last week through their website, but till now we didn't get our graduation, , me and my friends got A oppurtunity to do adaptation program in AUS, but graduation certificate is madatory for that AUS process, because of the convocation announcement me and my friends resigned the current job. now we are jobless and always seeking for convocation announcement. in our point of view the convocation deparment is totally corrupted...
...This university is full of corruption and came to know that for each post they are begging money from employee. From students, they have fixed amount for each degree and the person getting money are one tall man standing in the reception and in 1st floor one short lady sitting is a agent for all these kind of malpractice. Government should take decision for terminating that stupid lady as early as possible. She is tkaing care of changing marks, deciding examinars for change of marks for failed students for this VC is supporting . Health department should take immediate action to controll this. Otherwise as a student we don't know what will be the action o[censored]s.
Finally our m.g.r university announces 19th convocation will be conducted in 10th november 2009 thorough phone call...but who know whether which correct information or not...

My sister finished B.sc nursing who passed out in 2009 still not getting her provisional certificate, to register...when they will issue the certificate.
The most worst university in India is TN Dr.MGR Medical university.Most of the departments are corrupted.
They are getting bribe even in Big K's from their own university staffs. Will the state government/Central Government / The Vice- Chancellor of the university/should look into these departments and should take necessary actions. Will any one from the university can object this complaint. Provide the records of the university to whom they are all issue the degree certificates from 2005 onwards to till date.
Can any NGO organisation / RTI should take action against / getting details from this university.

Now a days the Govt employees are provided with handsome salary with more and more facilities like Bonus, Leave encashment Lienient House Rent Allowance etc., While so, why these officials are BEGGING not only with students but also with thei own collegues who should be considered as their brothers and sisters.
Only the rulers can eliminate this menace IF THEY ARE CLEAN HANDED., or the persons concerned must resist to their utmost level of patience. or must inform to the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Police who will look into the matter perfectly.

The TN Dr. MGR Medical University, in this university nothing will be systematic, we have to push up through phones but even though they will not do the work in a proper way and more over in complete. They will not even return the money if paid in excess for any certificate purpose or any other purpose. Please don't play with students career.

I joined for D.Pharm[protected] in JKK Munirajahh college of pharmacy at kumarapalayam .My name is ABID.V.K, from kerala.But, I can not complete the course because of my health problems.After 6 months, I approached the office of JKKM College of Pharmacy for my +2 certificate with proving the problem. Hello everyone,Many students including me have to be considered as victims of The Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R medical university,guindy,Chennai.My complaint is about the exorbitant fee being plundered from students for any kind of certificates or documents requested.I had a bad experience last time with this university regarding transcripts.They are demanding 1000 Rs. per transcript which seems to be very unreasonable price.While the rest of the universities are just asking for a nominal average fee of about 50 Rs per transcript this university is asking very huge amount.One more thing is that I recently visited the university website and to my surprise I have noticed that transcript fee has been increased to 2000 Rs.Are they educatiing students or else doing business.Another thing is that they are charging Rs 300 for attestation of each mark sheet.Lets say total 4 marksheets (ex.B.pharm graduates)for 4 years cost 1200Rs. which is very unfair.Its a shame on the university and seems like the university is trying to recover from its bankruptcy.

The TN Dr MGR University is a wicked money mongering University that never cares for the welfare of the students. Try going in person to the University, you will hate the day for ever. The treatment to elderly parents and students is beyond mention. The staff never care to address queries. When Universities all over the world issue Full Length transcripts, this is the only university that issues a single page, good-for-nothing transcript that is fit only to be trashed. For this they charge Rs.1000/-
All requests for an elaborate transcript falls on deaf ears. Inturn students who have invested lakhs on education are affected.
I have sent list of mails to grievances copying all senior staff of this university. Its been 20 days and I still not get a singly reply. My issues about corruption and illegal activites of this university have not yet been addressed
1. Their payment gateway is an intentional trap for every student who falls prey. If they submit amounts for particulars (transcripts etc) by mistake, the amount credited into University's account is forced to be non-refundable. Shopping Cart has not yet been implemented even after they received so many complaints on refund
2. For the page of WES Academic Records Request form partially completed from our end, the university charges whopping USD 120 or INR 8500 which no other university does! The effort of the university is just a few words and add the seal of university. Indeed an early start to make a big business out of innocent students and their parents.
3.University will not send a single reply to your email regardless of any justification on particulars you ask for even now.
4. Instructions on fee break up for sending transcripts to WES on their Website is willfully not documented properly as its going to cost a fortune.
5. While other universites charge comparitively less (inr 500 to 1000) for a full transcript, MGR medical University charges Rs 1000 per page of Transcript. Do you think university takes such a big effort after we send all copies of our marksheets and degree certificate instead of other details?
6. Their staff always tend to give excuses when we request for an appointment to meet their board of finance.
No doubt you will find it spurious about reputation of the Tamil Nadu Dr M G R Medical University when it comes to bribe they collect shamelessly.
