As a reply to this generic kind of complaint written by Rupalee Sethi and being a neutral person who knows Dr. Gumar too, I would like to add that If you are really interesting in making a complain then please make it specifically by giving all the details.
I would not go on to praise Dr. Gumar in return as a usual counter response but would like to strongly say here that even Dr. Gumar himself would like to know the details of your complain.
So if you really are concerned so much about the other patients and are actually writing a REAL COMPLAINT and not A FAKE ONE then please reply to this thread with all your details of mis-treatment being done to you.
Please let us and Dr. Gumar also know what wrong he did to you, when and how...If you really are a good hearted person willing to help others here, then we specifically need your details and if you are not willing to do so then this would be taken as A MERE FAKE ALLEGATION TO RUIN THE SOCIAL IMAGE OF A RESPONSIBLE AND GENEROUS DOCTOR.

I totally agree with Jatin Batra, Greedy word can't be used for Dr Gumar, I have seen Dr Gumar helping needy and his charges are very normal as compare to other doctors.
Dr Gumar is straight forward person therefore some people get hurt but he is Gem of a person.

My God Rupali you need to see a good psychiatrist. No one who has met Dr. Gumar can use the word "Greed" for him. He is a family doctor to me and my other relatives too. Time and again we have seen him give medicines free to poor people and even money sometimes. Last two times I saw a poor muslim man sitting with Gumar for medicines for his kid. Dr. Gumar gave him not only medicines free but also some money to buy fruits for the kid.
You can see from his simple lifestyle and moderate clinic that he is not interested in high living at show-offs common among other doctors of the day.

Rupali we are always talking about how doctors like Dr. Gumar now only exist in old hindi movies. Helping poor, suggesting cheaper courses of medicines. He is our family physician from the past 18 years, and he has helped me and my family so many times that I have lost count. Let me tell you he has been treating us for free and providing moral support to the family to in times of crisis. I agree with above comment by Manish, I have seen him help poor people with money, medicines etc. specially labourers etc.

these complaints about such a down to earth doctor is absolutely wrong.
he only alert and warn people about the consequences which can happen if disease is not diagnosed at a proper time, which is a good thing about the matured professional doctor.
the complaint that he is a greedy doctor is absolutely a FALSE alegation about his character as he charges such a normal fees and even less than normal or sometimes even free treatment to poor people.
the maintenance of a card for a patient is ultimately a useful thing for us only, as it shows our whole picture about any previous problem and its current status
so, as per my opinion these allegations about such a nice and intelligent doctor is totally Null and Void.

I stay a few blocks away from Dr.Gumar's home n clinic and since my birth I'm having the same residence. I came to know him personally 2 years back though I was aware about his practice and the kind of person he is. We have a family history of diabetes n hypertension starting from my nani to my mom and my elder brother. I'm here taking the case of my elder brother who was diagnosed with diabetes in the year 2000, 6 months after his marriage. In the same way like mom his case was of insulin dependent diabetes and which was really very hard to control and from the very beginning he was getting real large doses of insulin. We were seeing a local escapologist t and a very prestigious s and a real gem of a person diabetologist of good fame. My brother was merely 28 that time but his data of sugar and blood pressure was far beyond the person of 80. He was almost injecting twice the dose what my mother was taking that time. Years passed by and we were not having any hope that he could get out of this diabetes our main fight was to get it in control which also seemed real hard that time. In the year 2010 my brother came in contact with Dr.Gumar after getting a referral from his chemist friend. He than started seeing Dr.Gumar who instructed to come to him everyday with full day record of sugar n bp. After controlling his diabetes in almost a week's time he once told my brother that in young bodies like yours there are chances that a pancreas can regenerate itself and with the successful control at first he shifted my brother's insulin intake to a very lower dose and within a matter of few days my brother was shifted on tablets for sugar and with continuous monitoring in no time NO MEDICINE FOR DIABETES. Yes its end of 2011 and he's doing well with absolute no medication for sugar or bp . Yes Dr.Gumar made a point then to call him everyday but I wonder how can a senior doctor of his caliber charge like that. As I'm writing this I have tears in my eyes that you pointed he charges and makes people dependent on him. If it was done just to defame him out of any personal reason you should check your ways.Get some other ways of exercising dushmani. My mom has a 20% remaining kidney function and most of the times when Doctor Sahib visits her, he doesn't charge anything and he is very well aware of our good financial position and the doctors we used to visit in the past and the charges they take. He doesn't belong to this world and my experience of medical doctors though its not a good thing to have, may be lot lot more than yours. He doesn't need money. How on this earth some doctor doesn't need money. To me and to almost all the patients he treats he's like a saint yes who gets irritated when someone doesn't follow him and its his right to do that and he is a specialist in what he does. I truly wish that you answer me in this forum n I'll be more than happy to share with you my number n my wherabouts and for anyone in this forum can meet us a see this case of 10 years deendeny on insulin washing away with clinical and medical excellence and with an awareness which is really hard to find among doctors to heat or to treal permanently...

I guess you called him greedy because it is the easiest word you found in your dictionary. Else a doctor who treats and donates regularly at free camps should not deserve a word like this. Infact I have seen him denying money from a financially challenged family and treating their child for free. And that treatment not just included his consultation fee but also free medicines.
Out of inquisitive nature, I asked him about the red lines he makes on the card. Card system which helps in recording the medical history of a patient only helps in identifying the medicines you are allergic to.
No one forces you to visit the same doctor. But if you yourself visited him after visiting other doctors, I guess this answers his credibility itself. I hope you become responsible enough to pay diligent respect to other's profession.
