I had purchased F 15 crane from Escorts (ECEL Ch no.169A089622, Eng no.4H.2682/1100047) in March 2011. In the 1st instance the crane came with a faulty Form 22. The crane has all sorts of defects/shortfalls: 1) The speedometer cable is breaking from day one. The same has been replaced 4 times under warranty, but the cable does not sustain even for few seconds. In the end position was altered, but also the same saga. 2) Oil is leaking from auxiliary gear box from day one. 3) Water is leaking from cabin roof glass. 4) Floor panels are welded/patched up with 5 and 6 mm strips and gas cut holes. 5) Oil is leaking from hose pipe joints. 6) Engine is not picking power. 7) There are unhealthy/serious gaps between locks and pin heads. 8) The clutch pedal is at times hard rock 9) The crane is painted with 3 shades of yellow paint and the paint has peeled off/cracked and the structure rusted within 2 months. Even statutory instructions on the structure are missing. From all angles it looks like a reconditioned/second sale/heavily discounted/refurnished vehicle. (I have personally checked many other F 15 cranes for comparison)
For the last 9 months I have been taking up this issue with every Escorts personnel up to the level of Head- Customer Support. Forget about looking into the matter they do not have the slightest courtesy even to acknowledge the receipt of my grievance. The best answer against a telephonic call is “I will come back to you on the issue”. Escorts personnels conducted a site inspection of the vehicle in June 2011 and all defects noted, but till today nothing has been done. The gameplan as it looks like is just to idle time till the expiry of warranty period. Was this information helpful? |
