2 held for duping 50 youths of Rs 23L
PUNE: The economic offences wing of the crime branch has seized 34 computers and froze the bank accounts of two suspects, including an HR head of an IT company, for allegedly duping about 50 youths by promising them lucrative jobs. They had taken amounts ranging from Rs 50, 000 to Rs 1.5 lakh from each of the victims.
Naveen Motwani (24), placement executive and HR head, and Deepmala Shringare (24), of Mourya Technologies located in Wonder city commercial complex on Pune-Bangalore highway, are presently in police custody remand.
Inspector B D Koli on Tuesday said that the police took action after around 35 job seekers approached them with complaints.
According to Koli, the suspects had collected around Rs 23 lakh from the job seekers and investigations revealed that they had not registered their IT firm.
The fraud came to light after one of the victims, Shahzad Khan of Pune Cantonment, registered a complaint with the Bharitya Vidyapeeth police station stating that he was duped of Rs 40, 000 between April and June, 2012. Khan said that the suspects had refused to return his documents and money.
Motwani hails from Bhopal while Deepmala is a native of Aurangabad. Meanwhile, a magisterial court on Tuesday extended the police custody remand of the suspects till June 21.

PUNE: The Bharati Vidyapeeth police on Wednesday arrested two persons, including an HR head of an IT company, for allegedly duping about 100 youths with promises of lucrative jobs as software engineers, after taking amounts ranging from Rs 50, 000 to Rs 1.5 lakh from each of them, the police said on Thursday.
A case was registered after over 50 victims went to the police station and complained against the duo.
Police have identified the accused as Naveen Jayprakash Motwani (24), placement executive, and HR head Deepmala Vijay Shringare (24) of Mourya Technologies, Katraj. Mourya Technologies is an IT service development firm, located on the fourth floor in Wonder City commercial complex on Pune-Bengaluru highway.
One of the victims, Shahzad Najir Khan, a resident of Pune Camp, in his complaint against them stated that the company had placed an advertisement for job openings for software engineers.
"He contacted them on the given phone number, and was told that he would get the job after paying Rs 60, 000. Later, they settled for Rs 40, 000, " said Police Inspector B D Koli of the economic offences wing (Crime Branch).
After a few days, Khan was called for an interview with the required documents. “He gave the documents to one Smriti Sharma following which he was given an appointment letter to join the company from May 7. Later, he was called at Hotel Angan behind the Bharati Vidyapeeth, where Deepmala took Rs 40, 000 from him and told him to join the company on May 10 instead of the previous date, ” Koli added.
When Khan went on the designated date, he was asked to wait for three hours in the reception room and then told to come on the next date. “When I went there, I saw about 30 persons working on computers and I was asked to create 10 different e-mail Ids, ” Khan told the police. Later, he found that that all the persons had joined the company after paying money. After working for about a month, he realised that he had been cheated.
“When I asked Deepmala to return my documents and money, she refused, ” Khan told the police in his complaint.
The incident took place between April-June this year. Motwani hails from Bhopal while Deepmala is a native of Aurangabad. They offered Rs 1.8 lakh package to those who paid Rs 50, 000 and Rs 2.25 lakh to those who paid Rs 1.5 lakh. “The training period was of three months. But I was not given the job for which they had entered into an agreement, ” Khan stated.
Judicial Magistrate (First Class) S R Bhor has remanded Deepmala and Motwani to police custody till June 16. They have been charged for offences u/s 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 34 (common intention) IPC.

R. Vinothkumar has cheated above 70 people using various company names and escaped with the money from Ambattur.
Recently, he opened another fraud company named “Scorp Tech” in porur, chennai. Again, he started to cheat people, and he has already cheated about 20 lakhs like this. Two months ago, he vacated this office (Scorp Tech) also, and escaped without refunding the people who were cheated by him.
He will post job advertisements on indeed or naukri or some other job portal websites for software developer job. After that, he will call for an interview, then he will tell that they are going to give training, monthly stipend (Rs. 3, 000 to 10, 000) and place us in big mnc companies and collect money from rs. 20, 000 to 55, 000.
After collecting the money, they do not give any training, do not give any stipend, do not arrange placements, and make false claims. They ask us to attend telephonic interview, but they make their friends speak from the other end. They send fake call letters from mnc companies and ask for extra payment.
They have not placed anyone in any company. They also gave torture to girls by asking them to come separately to his room. They call the girls separately to their rooms and close the doors for 2 hours. Some girls would cry, and some parents have complained about this issue.
If anyone intervenes, they give fraud cheques and escape. They will keep closing the current company, keep opening a new company, cheat people and escape with the money. Also, they will keep creating fake positive reviews in google to keep cheating graduates who are searching for jobs.
Vinothkumar will always act like an honest person to cheat the people. If anyone believes his acting, the believer will be cheated by him.
Vinothkumar's aim is to steal the money from the graduates by telling lies, but not to place them. Please keep this in mind.
Two people were working for vinothkumar. Vinothkumar will not give them salary properly. Instead of giving them salary, he borrowed rs. 50, 000 from one employee, and rs. 30, 000 from another employee for his marriage expense. He never returned those amounts, never gave the pending salary amounts, blocked their mobile numbers, and cheated them.
They have been cheating people like this for many years. Therefore, they must be arrested, and kept inside the jail for cheating like this.

After two months since Vinothkumar collected the amount from me, he made a person (Abu Imran) send a fake email to me regarding the offer letter.
The email says that I have been selected for the position of Campaign Architect for the client 3i Infotech Chennai.
Also, there are some mistakes in the email.
I sent all the documents to that person as per the email instructions.
After several months since I received this email, I never got the offer letter from the companies "QIC" or "3i Infotech", and I never got the job.
Finally, I came to know that Abu Imran (the sender of the email) is not working in QIC or 3i Infotech, and he has no any contact with those companies.
Abu Imran has sent me a fake email, and he is also a fraud like Vinothkumar.
Vinothkumar has cheated several people like this by sending fake emails in the names of companies.
I paid Rs. 45, 000 in total to him one year ago, but till now Vinothkumar has not given any response, he has not given my refund, and he kept telling lies. Now, he has changed his mobile number, identity and started to cheat new set of people through his new fake company, and new fake name “Kishore”.
Please take action against these frauds and save others from being cheated in the future.
If anyone has already been cheated by Vinothkumar, please give the police complaint immediately to get your money back. Some people have got their refund with the help of the police.

I sent all the documents to that person as per the email instructions.
After several months since I received this email, I never got the offer letter from the companies "QIC" or "3i Infotech", and I never got the job.
Finally, I came to know that Abu Imran (the sender of the email) is not working in QIC or 3i Infotech, and he has no any contact with those companies.
Abu Imran has sent me a fake email, and he is also a fraud like Vinothkumar.
Vinothkumar has cheated several people like this by sending fake emails in the names of companies.
I paid Rs. 45, 000 in total to him one year ago, but till now Vinothkumar has not given any response, he has not given my refund, and he kept telling lies. Now, he has changed his mobile number, identity and started to cheat new set of people through his new fake company, and new fake name “Kishore”.
Please take action against these frauds and save others from being cheated in the future.
If anyone has already been cheated by Vinothkumar, please give the police complaint immediately to get your money back. Some people have got their refund with the help of the police.
