[Resolved]  Global Hospital, Hyderabad — irresponsive hospital

They, as many other healthcare institutions, are as unethical and unprofessional as anyone can get!

i) They overcharged me on an appendectomy 'package'

ii) They refused to give me a break-up of the FIFTEEN THOUSAND 'OT instruments' charges that exceeded the amount that I was informed about.

iii) Their explanation for the extra charge was - 'We did a single port surgery to minimize scars, we didn't think a single unmarried girl should have scars on her body'. Let me decide how my body should or shouldn't look.

iv) They lied to us 4 different times, to keep us from protesting / inquiring about the extra charges.The sad part is, the doctors are in on this with the Admin!!

v) They forcibly kept me in hospital because I rightfully demanded for an itemized bill, refusing to give me the break-up or letting me out (8 security guards physically restraining me a day after my surgery, from leaving the hospital)!!

An appendectomy package that costs Rs.35, 000, with extra charges of Rs.126/- per day in luxury taxes, Rs.150/- for dietician charges (these idle little charges were mentioned over and over to me) is what I was informed about. And from the beginning I was told it will be a single port surgery, the common practice in recent times for appendicitis. In the end, I get a bill of Rs.55, 000 (plus some)!

Rs.15, 000 was just for the single port procedure!!! Where were my other options, the cheaper ones?

The Indian Medical System - go figure what the uneducated or lesser informed citizens of this country are subjected to in the name of healthcare!!

It looks like the Global Hospitals has been playing with poor people sentiments, by minting money (as much as 4 to 5 lakhs in just 4-5 days of admission into ICU), and often they make the condition of patients deteriorate so badly that patient needs to be shifted to ICU from OP. This kind of strategy is making them mint money falsely. The worst part of Global is that they indulge in lot of lies, and often mislead the patient's near & dear ones.

I have had worst experience with Global Hospitals Hyderabad, and I had lost my brother. They have killed a healthy man by medically inducing antibiotics. I am filing a criminal case on Global Hospitals, and amidst contacting and pooling lot of information from various people who had lost their wife/husband, brother/sister, mother/father, son/daughter.

Global Hospital Doctors are reckless, unprofessional and unethical.Recently my father in law had been operated for a prostate enlargement and the doctors assured him, that everything was successful and less than 3 months ...now my father in law has a bladder and a kidney infection and the doctors treating him say that the operation he underwent was unsuccessful. When my father in law wanted to confront the doctor about the fact, the doctor told him that he did right and however no one is going to live for ever ...and why my father in law was frowning...What kind of a Doctor does he sound like...an irresponsible "PIG", who does not the feel of pain or life a total unfit for the profession../... Please do not waste your money going to global hospital...they would just rip you off your money for nothing...

Please dont go to this hospital. The liver doctors are the worst here. The moment you enter, they try to convince you by whatever means (hook or crook) to undergo liver transplant. They have no attitude of service. Only extract maximum from the patient and their families. There are some so called senior liver doctors there (same last name as Kareena movie actor) who think they are joking but make very crude jokes about the patients and their attendants. His team of doctors participate in that as well. This may be a good doctor but not a good person for sure. There are lot of good liver doctors in Hyderabad. Please visit them before you go to this doctor or this facililty. I have to say the supporting staff like nurses and ward boys are helpful and nice but unfortunately we go to the hospitals in search of caring and good doctors and not like these ones. I hope hospitals like this would also invest time and money in recruiting good doctors who have all round skills and are well balanced. These doctors spoil the reputation of the organizations they work for.
In summary, they are money minters, cheaters, looters . WOrst than dacoits, theifs and prostitutes (they probably do that for a living)

I had the worst experience of this hospital and probably that killed my mom. My mom got joined into this hospital because somebody said its the best place for intestinal issues. She came out from it with a lung collapsed as her auto-immune triggered. As somebody highly educated living in US i understand most of the stuff they tried to feed me. I was paying them top dollar and even i couldn't take their fees. They will lie to you everyday and treat you like junk and its not worth it even a cent as their treatment is also worst. Just go to a government hospital u will have better chance. This is a POS place with absolutely no ethics, no accountability and no skill.

The systems are not good as Dr. Ravindranath cannot retain good senior managers as he is very arrogant and rude. Even the doctors are frustrated working under him. He is a bad man. Vendors have not been paid, even statutory deposit of PF and TDS Etc not deposited.He is not running a hospital but just doing a business to make money.

They Play with lives .My Uncle was admitted on 18-07-14. Initially after all tests Doctors said that he will be ok after operation.They didn't mentioned any 50-50 chance like that. They clearly mentioned he will be 100% ok after operation.We paid the money in very difficult conditions.Intially they said we have to pay 4 lakhs in advance. We paid the amount .My uncle Underwent liver operation on 28-07-14. operation was done for over 12 hours. Doctors didn't said about success/fail. they said we will examine for 2 days and he will be ok. On 29-07-14 in morning we again paid 1 lakh.Even at that time also they didn't mentioned anything. After all our relatives and friends left the hospital who came to see my uncle then they said "we tried our best, Its only 2 hours you have". These global hospital [censored]ing said "pay the remaining amount and take your uncle body".These bloody holes will suffer for their sins. They are playing with poor people. God Will punish all the global hospital doctors. We are poor people we cant do anything to them but their is god who is watching all this. God will definitely punish them. May my uncle soul rest in peace.

The one in Mumbai is a money making scam too. My 44 year old brother in law is admitted...he had a bypass...he is very critical and in ICU with septicemia. ...whole body is swollen and whole family is running around to get real prognosis...the doctors are cheats Just wanting to make money...they say they are world class hospital but have the nerves to day that if you want to prevent infection then you need to put in higher class(?????)...what kind of infection control is it...he had bypass more than a month ago...he also had cardiac arrest but we were not informed...the main Dr.Bharat Shah is so busy that he does not have time to talk to the family(????)...totally disappointed with the care provided...please do not go to get any procedure done here until u get a second opinion from another hospital

Your issue is correct. Please try to approach consumer forum and also approach the national level news papers and electronic media. If you can approach local news papers global hospital management may influence the news paper managements. So Please think and take decision. -G.S.N.Murthy

I have had worst experience with Global Hospitals Hyderabad.
Dr.Malakondiah Urologist Dept, assured that surgery cost will be in between 35000 to 40000 Max. Even i have check with bill dept even that assured the same amount.In the end, I get a bill of Rs.64, 000 (plus some)!
