[Resolved]  HDFC Bank NAME MISMATCH — HDFC Risk COntrol team

Same thing happened with me also this 18th March 2010 only.
On 6:00PM, I received a call from HDFC Risk COntrol team to authenticate a Rs 49,000.00 transaction done on my HDFC Platinum Card for MSEB Electricity Bill Payment through BillDesk(IndiaIdeas.com). When, I denied they told me to call HDFC Customer Care.
I contacted those people, and came to know that 4-transactions (Re.1,RS. 49046, Rs23431, and Rs.11541) have been allowed through their gateway. I denied those transactions and got my card blocked.
Next day, I sent a complaint letter denying the four-transactions by me or on my behalf. I also submitted the letter of complaint to DCP, Crime Branch, NaviMumbai. I received a call from HDFC,Chennai office about the transactions and was told that as I am refusing to have done those transactions, they are categorised as Disputed, and an enquiry will follow.
Later when contacted, and through the mail also, I was told that the Merchant have not yet contacted and just the credit limit of my card is being blocked.
In addition, as told by HDFC Risk Control, I also contacted BillDesk, Mumbai office and enquired about those deals. I forwarded them the scanned copy of the complaint I submitted to Police and HDFC too.
Today,21st March 2010, I have been told that those transactions have been made through http://indiaideas.com against MSEB(Maharashtra Electricity Board). When I said that I clearly deny those fraudulent transactions and won't pay anythig for it; I was told that enquiry is in process and with 45-60days it will be decided whether it's true of fraud deal.
Seeing Mr. Mhatre's expereince, I am feeling sommething fishy about the whole HDFC-process.
CAn you please suggest me what should be my next step.

Dear Sir,

I do know that the HDFC Bank implements good security technologies for Online Transaction. My issue is not with the matter.
My problem is regarding the transactions which SOMEONE has made through MY card to pay his/her MSEB Bills through BillDesk (http://indiaideas.com). I have even fetched the Transactions IDs for those fraudulent transactions.
Now these BillDesk are not prompltly replying me, as I have already provided them all the details (Dat, Time, Transaction IDs) of the fraudulent transaction.

I am obliged that you looked in to the matter. It would be highly appreciable, if you may kindly help me out the issue.

If the problem is not resolved, do not hesitate to go to RBI, this is the only way to keep these private banks under control:

RBI will take a note of it and forward the complaint to Nodal officer of the concerned bank, who is bind to take action with on the stipulated period.
