[Resolved]  Hp Hira Petrol Pump Sec 53 Gurgaon — Cheating and tampering the pump machine to fill less fuel

This complaint is against the HP Hira Gas Station Sec 53 Gurgaon. I usually get around Rs[protected] petrol in my car and pay by credit card. At this gas station, one of the staffers fill the petrol in the tank and the other swipes the card meanwhile which is quite normal. However, the issue is that when I am signing on the card receipt the other staffer involves in some conversation like present offers etc and the first staffer who is filling the tank does something on the machine and the meter shows the required amount as filled. This means that when you are filling for Rs1000 petrol and the meter is at Rs820, the first staffer does something there and meter shows 1000 and stops there, meaning that you get Rs180 less petrol!!
Fortunately, at that instance when the first staffer did something on the machine I looked up from driving seat to the machine and noticed that (and at that time second staffer was trying to keep me involved in credit card receipts and offers!). And believe me both of these guys went pale on noticing that I have caught them red handed!

On raising this issue with the pump owner (Mr Gaurav) he gives a lame excuse that due to intermittent electricity supply this happens!! However, this still sounds grey as the staffers would never come back to tell that due to electricity issue I got less petrol until and unless I myself noticed that as the meter shows 1000 wheras in actual quite less petrol goes into my car. (Am not sure how many more times they would have cheated me before when I failed to notice this!)

Just wished to share this experience with all. Please be very attentive if you are taking fuel from this station as this is your hard earned money! I would rather suggest you look for any other gas station, in case you don't get one keep your eyes on the meter all the time here. Good Luck!
