This is karan from Hyderabad and this is with regards to cheating of petrol by the IBP bunk staff at balkampet, hyderabad.
Iam resident of sanathnagar and I have a two wheeler. Since, The IBP petrol bunk situated on ameerpet-balkampet main road is nearest to me, I frequently fill petrol into my vehicle from this bunk. As usual, on 05.04.2011 at 7:00PM, I visited this bunk and i was surprised to see the two filling boys at one dispenser, who are under aged as I have never seen them before. Since, there were two more vehicles to fill in queue, I got some time to observe how the filling boys were hardly trying to cheat the customers by not delivering the right quantity.
When it was my turn in the queue, I ordered for Rs.100/- petrol and immediately, one boy inserted the pump dispenser into my two wheeler petrol tank. When i insisted for setting the dispense meter to zero, the other boy was irritating me for money. I did not respond to the requests of the second boy as I felt that some thing could go wrong in delivering the quantity. Mean while, the first boy started filling petrol and again, the second boy, who was standing on my right, insisted for money. At this instant, I felt that since the dispenser is set to Rs.100 petrol, there is nothing for these boys to cheat on me and I took Rs.500 currency note from my valet and gave it to the second boy. During this process also, I had an eye on the dispense meter but the second boy, to divert my attention from the dispense meter, asked to whether to fill petrol for Rs.500/- at this instant, I turned to the second boy and replied him that I ordered for Rs.100 petrol and this boy was showing some odd signs, as if he had not understood, what I was saying and after few seconds, returned me Rs.400/-. All this happened in few seconds and the first boy took the dispenser off from my tank and immediately thrusted into the other vehice, which was on the other side of the dispenser. The first boy did not show me that he had filled 100Rs. Petrol and I felt that, immediately, he took off the dispenser as soon as I turned to reply to the second boy. When I asked, the first boy replied that he had filled 100Rs. Petrol. Since, I frequently visit the petrol bunk, with a positive and good hope, I went home which is 200 metres away from the bunk. On my way to home, my conscience was strongly convincing me that the boys cheated me. So I went home and took a 2 litre bottle and started unloading the petrol into the bottle to check the quantity. To my surprise, the fuel level in the bottle showed me that the boys had cheated me and filled only 0.5 litre petrol instead of 1.53 litre. I lost that good hope and immediately turned into fire. I took my friend and went back to the petrol bunk and when i fired on the boys. One of the filler boys, gave a lame excuse and enacted the scene that he had filled 1 litre petrol as the second boy conveyed him the same. Finally, on heated arguments, they filledup additional 35/-Rs. Petrol. Over all in the deal, I lost 0.5 litre petrol. I lost that good hope and I shall never visit the bunk for petrol.
So all you guys be careful and take all precautions to avoid cheating by this expert bunk filler boys.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend not to visit the bunk.
It shall be pleasure, if the concerned departments carry out inspections and if the IBP officers provide a tamper proof customer complaint box in the bunk premises.

HI guys, today was the day when i caught IBP kormangala(Bangalore) guys cheating. one guy came over to me to get the credit card and asked me to come over with him to the swipe machine, when i was not looking, the other guy stop fueling the car (i had asked for Rs 1500, he stopped at 1200), but i sensed something was wrong, i immediately went back to the machine and asked him why he stopped fueling the car, he said "the tank is full and so it auto stopped"!!!
i told him that the tank is empty and its has the capacity of 35 ltrs and for 1500 i would get some 24 ltrs only.., sensing that i had caught him, he asked the other guy to rest the machine for the rest of 300 and start fueling, and then he ran away leaving things to the new guy., they were almost successful in swindling me of Rs 300 worth of fuel
This is not the first time IBP pump guys are doing this..!! they did the same at the ORR station as well.
I would suggest no one should fuel their vehicle at the IBP stations.
the are a bunch of crooks running the show and steal your hard earned money.
I wish we has stronger laws to punish such people in our country .
i was saved may be they will be successful in doing it some other poor guy.
and i am sure they will be doing it on daily basis.
