India Passport Office — Objection in Re-issue passport for Place of Birth (POB)

Sir/Madam,

(Re-issue Passport case :- File no. - CA[protected] , DOB - July 22, 1980, Date of Apply - June 18, 2012)

My re-issue of passport has objection for verification of PLACE OF BIRTH (POB) . I am surprised to see this objection during re-issue of passport as during my initial passport creation in 2003 (Old Passport no. - E3943856) , there was already police verification performed on my Place of Birth (New Delhi) and after police clearance my passport was printed and dispatched to my residence. I don't find any reason for re-verification of place of birth , when the same has been verified at the time of new passport creation in year 2003. An individual place of birth will remain same for forever , and I believe one time verification clearance will be accepted for future re-issue of passport.


In my old passport , the place of birth is clearly mentioned as "New Delhi"

Its more than six months now I am awaiting for my passport dispatch. Need your help & support on this regards
