[Resolved]  Indus Business Academy (IBA,Bangalore) — cheating students

Address: Bangalore, Karnataka

This college had announced the openings for a new batch from 5th september 2011 and accepted the admissions for the new batch .But among the 60 seats only 03 were filled.

So the management accepted the three admissions and after the payment of the admission fees and other fees they have informed us that they were unable to start the new batch and asked us to join the existing batch for which the classes commenced from June 2011.

I had resigned my job and joined the college for MBA .But the failure of the college management in every respect made me leave the college within 2 weeks since I joined.

As it was purely the management's failure they are supposed to reimburse the total amount I have paid and also compensation for the loss of job. But I have only asked them to reimburse the fees I paid.Though they refunded only 37000Rs from the amount I had paid which is Rs.91,000 (39,000 towards admission charges, 12000 towards Academic Security Deposit,30000 towards tuition fees,10000 towards books and corporate suit).

I have been repeatedly following up the management through emails But every time I ask them about this issue, they are saying that they would get back to me in 1 week. I have been patiently waiting till date and it has been more than 4 months since I left the college. But I have not got any kind of reimbursement.

Any advice on this issue and the steps I have to follow ,is kindly solicited .

Thanks and Regards
M.S.Jitendra Prasad

@Vikash : definitely you can get back your money, if you have all valid proofs and if you fell into their deceitful trap. But all you need to have is patience and you should be pertinacious till you get it back. In my case I didnt have enough time to fight against them. Also the location matters :| . Since I am out of IND, I cannot file the case and attend all court hearings. I just thought, my money fed the greedy gluttons in IBA management . And I just felt like it was a charity deed of mine.If you have time, guts and the need, you can definitely file a case against them.
Should I join IBA or not Final deision tell me.
MY faculties are referring this college but I have some doubts I dont know but suspicions.

Dear Harshit Rajpurohit,

Since you have asked in a genuine way, I would like to share my opinion on these issues written here.

There is plus and minus in each and everything, even the medicines which we take for a cure also causes some side effects, but it doesn't stop anyone from taking the medicine. We should see if the advantages outweigh the disadvantages or not.

IBA has completed 15 batches, out of so many students, many would have got a higher job, few are satisfied, few changed their minds and joined some other bschools. I respect all views written here.

Jitendra sir case if we see, IBA has not asked him to leave his job and join their college, it was his own decision. He has applied for refund that is what was mentioned here, college side they should have simply refunded their fees it would have stopped there. But college can't compensate for the loss of job, it was his choice, they for sure has given an option to join a prev batch which was one possible solution they had. College was willing to conduct extra classes and prepare for the exams and the end it was his decision. MBA was started late, there was no much publicity as a result students have not join, IBA clearly is an AICTE approved college PGDM is preferable there.

I have no such bad experience I am working in Citi Bank with a decent salary, each day I thank IBA and it's valued mentorship today; I am facing strict deadline, hectic schedules, meetings and presentations all this I was not so good at before joining IBA.

For someone there maybe a better chance I am not denying it, one should also see that unless one gets high scores in CAT it is nearly impossible to get into big colleges like IIMs or other elite bschools.

This is value for money, one should be prepared to work hard, take extra load and really tune up to the level of a management student then only any Bschool will come to help.

If there is a better choice like already having a great job in hand then I myself would say that go to Symbiosis or IIM or FMS Delhi if you are capable to cut though sheer competition, if not continue with your jobs. Noone is forcing you to leave your jobs and join here. It is absolutely fine for Graduates or Graduated students with no real time experience.

Today all batch mates have got placed in one or the other company, many years have passed since. I request you to genuinely consider feedback of recent graduates like 2015 pass-outs or 2014. Others who have written here against the college are clearly not the part of the system and they really don't know what exactly happening inside.

One must bury ego in each one o[censored]s and believe in the system, noone can do wonders. Even the best doctor with best equipment cant bring life to a dead person. People have strong reasons to come & write here and take grudge on the Institute but one should really understand that as an IBA student I doesn't want to hurt anyone's feeling but wish good luck even for all those who have written negatively here.

I have also enrolled my sister for the PGDM programme, she was an introvert and after putting here in this place she has become very active and really shown improvement. IBA is not for anyone who just want to come, take a degree, get a highly paid job and walk away. Your mettle will be tested, you are challenged to bring out the best in you. So if you are prepared to work hard, learn something, have an open mind and trust in your ability come and join. Dont come here simply thinking I will get a 10L package, it is not possible. You will get chances, you have to face competition, packages are decided by market forces, any good responding student with fair academics is getting 5L package, Work little hard you gain even more. By sitting back in hostel room when the companies are coming noone can get a job, most of my friends voluntarily not sat for few good companies thinking they are not getting 8L package. Cant help for it. All companies show up stating from 4L to 8L it depends on how good you are to get the best job.

UBS Mumbai ROI point of you how good it is, intake how many students they take? What is the value add see all those. I cant comment on UBS because I have no idea about it.

All the best!
CEO Manish Jain
Her sister Swati Jain (above commentators)
Chandrakant (Self Ploclaimed prof of Iba)(above commentators aka abracadabra)'.

Ms . Swati Jain is the batch topper of 11-13😂And u can understand why...she always got full marks without doing any thing .some of the faculty are awesome but no one want to work in iba more than a year.
Mr Manish Jain CEO is a cunning person who can jdo anything for money and he declared himself as a faculty with zero knowledge ...
There is a employee call mrs Richa sharna who got a pg degree from iba of telling lies to every body( alumni of iba who doesn't get a job from anywhere)
Majority of students are from Odisha, Bihar, cg .::::poor tier two cities student

Rest u all can understand what is going on. They will contact each coaching center and consultants ... even the CEO of the college is unable to speak properly and act like beggar for admission ..

They have good contact to several sites who gives them good rating . Plz stop going to this colleges of Jains and Marwaris. They are running business out of the study temple..

I am a former student ...please beware of this college .its better to join some gov university for MBA don't waste money for this type of.
