Informatica (Bangalore) is involved with a few scams: Asking candidates for money and PF. So I am not surprised that they did not refund your son's travel expenses.
They pocketed the money themselves.
Here are some of the people involved in the scam along with their details. Know that much of the experience and education claimed by these thieves is fake.

Finally I have received the cheque after numerous calls and interaction. Finally Rohit had called and claimed that there was some miscommunication and there after had released the cheque. Thanks to everybody involved and moreover to this complaintsboard.com, had it not been, I wouldn't have received my money. Thanks to Rohit who managed to finally get the cheque released.
Informatica — Bad Resources
Be careful of hiring Nanda Kumar. He has been working at Informatica for long time. Nanda Kumar is the worst resource and disrespectful of HR.
