[Resolved]  Inspirations — 15-Month Gym membership and the abrupt shutdown of the Gym facility before completion of the 15-month period

On 22-NOV-2008, I have purchased a 15-month package of Gym facility at a cost of Rupees Ten thousand One Hundred and Thirteen (Rs.10, 113/-) from the JP Nagar (Bangalore) branch of Inspirations (http://www.inspirations.in). On 30-APR-2009, Inspirations had shutdown their gym facility in J.P. Nagar by putting a notice on the gym saying that ‘Today is the last working day of the gym’. Inspirations has been placing advertisements in the Bangalore Times (Supplementary to Times Of India daily, the leading newspaper in Bangalore) on a regular basis. From the advertisements, Inspirations have taken out the name of J.P.Nagar branch in the list of Gyms from the month of April. Since my doctor has advised me to do regular cardiac and weight training to bring down my high cholesterol level, I had no other option but to take membership in another Gym before waiting for a refund from Inspirations office. I have contacted the Inspirations management several times through the phone numbers given on the advertisements that appears very frequently on the Times of India daily regarding the refund of the extra amount that was collected. No satisfactory answer was given to me from the management. I have contacted Ms. Vidya, Ms. Savita, Ms. Deepa and Mr. Samir in Inspirations office over the phone. I have brought this to the attention of Inspirations management through the website http://www.inspirations.in/feedback.html feedback form on 10-MAY-2009. No response was given to me from the Inspirations management. On 12-MAY-2009, I had sent a registered letter (RLAD A 1076, JP Nagar Post Office) to Inspirations detailing the issue and asking for a resolution. Inspirations didn’t bother to respond. On 20-MAY-2009, I have send a second written request with copies of all the proofs including copy of the Original Cash Memo, copy of the Credit card payment receipt, copy of the advertisements in Bangalore times on 14-FEB-2009 and 07-MAY-2009 as a legal proof of the shut down of the Gym facility in JP Nagar and copy of the letter registration at JP Nagar Post Office through DTDC courier (http://www.dtdc.in/ Tracking numbers B52683550 and B52683551. ) to Inspirations branch in J.P.Nagar and to Inspirations head office. No response to that too. I have faxed my request to the Inspirations Fax number too.Now I am exhausted with all the options to get a refund from Inspirations.

I have similar experience with the Inspiration GYM at Richmond Road. They had collected annual membership with lots of customers (am one among them) and then on 25 June 2009, the gym is closed. False informations were spread saying that they would be opening the gym shortly in and around Richmond Road but they have not. Now there is a notice board saying that Inspiration has been taken over by Thinspiration and the new management will not be responsible for old members to use the new gym. What happens to the membership fee that everyone have paid - Sameer (who was the head of the old gym) has disappeared and none can give a solid answer to any queries raised by us. Please do not trust Inspirations and DO NOT MAKE ANY ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP EITHER WITH THINSPIRATION OR WITH INSPIRATION.

Inspirations — Closure without notice/no refund

I have paid my annual membership of Rs 15,700 to Inspirations Gym, Richmond Town, Bangalore valid until April 2010. The gym closed down without notice on June 25th, 2009. The gym management said they would reopen but no such thing has happened and neither have customers' fees been refunded.
Please don't go for Inspirations. they are the worst cheaters

Inspirations — caller tune

Dear sir
This is to inform you that I had never activated any caller tune in my mobile but it has been activated and charges have been deducted. It may be a mistake from any ones end & hence i did not try to cancel it. Day before yesterday i received an sms that the caller tune will be activated again in 2 days. I have been trying to call up the customer care from yesterday but never could complete the request due to poor link. You are requested to deactivate my caller tune with immediate effect.
Regards
Dr R.K.Mookerjee

My girlfriend and I have had the most horrible experience there. Firstly, the massage room was a little too conjested and the masseurs didnt seem professional or experienced. The bathroom seemed so untidy and unclean. During the massage, the bathroom door was open and water continuously dripping in the bucket. The bath towel that we lay on was very dirty and unclean. It was a used towel that was being used for all customers. Even after the massage the towel used to take off the oil from the skin was very dirty and used. We both decided not to use the showers as it was very unhygenic. There were roaches in the rooms, which gave it an even bad impression and I would never like to recommend anyone to go to Inspirations because of their poor and horrible experience that we faced. This took place at Inspirations- Koramangala
